Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where is the voluminous file (forms, investigative and judicial), of Myrteza Bajraktari originating from Gostivar, who after finishing school high school in the city of Tetovo, in 1952, began his higher studies at the University of Skopje, in the branch of Philosophy, where in addition to teaching he was employed as a journalist in the newspaper “Flaka e Vllaznimit” published in Skopje, from where he was fired soon after, he published an article where he was openly against the displacement of Yugoslav Albanians to Turkey and as a result, he was appointed as a teacher in the 7-year school “Shaban Zeneli” in Kumanovo. Myrtezai was arrested by the UDB in 1952, after he was part of a secret organization called the ‘Albanian National-Democratic Organization’, and he was sentenced to seven years in political prison, which he served in the Nis prison and Idrizovo. Escape from Yugoslavia and coming to Albania, where after staying for some time in the internment camp in Seman of Fier, he was given the right to high school, graduating from the University of Tirana in Language and Literature, but after refusing the appointment in the city of Berat, in 1971, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in political prison, on charges of “agitation and propaganda”. Release from prison and leaving without work until the collapse of the communist regime and his appointment as Consul General of Albania in Switzerland, until 1993, and then his election as Honorary President of the Albanian League in the World, for the countries of Benelux, where he worked for the cause of Kosovo, until he passed away on December 11, 2020. On January 20, 1974, he accidentally met Myrteza Bajraktari on “Kongresi i Përmetit” street, who has been imprisoned for three years for agitation and propaganda. Myrtezai was with his wife when she stopped him. Myrtezai asked him to show him the house of Beqir Xhepa, with whom he had met in prison. On January 21, 1974, he accompanied Myrtezai to the house of Beqir Xhepa’s mother. The conversation lasts an hour. He told his mother that his son Beqiri was very well and that she could continue to send him letters and food.
Myrtezai also told him that Beqiri was completely innocent. The old woman replied: “This government does not imprison you in vain because he did something, which has fallen into prison.” Myrtezai told himself that he had spent 7 years in prison in Yugoslavia because he had shown patriotic feelings. Myrtezai told him that in those days, he expected to be appointed to a suitable job. There was hope that he would be appointed to education, while his wife was at Estrada. They have a 6-year-old son.

Clarification: Beqir Xhepa was convicted 3 years ago for agitation and propaganda, for writing anonymous letters to the State Party. He claims to be innocent. As can be seen, they met Myrtezain at the Ballsh Camp. As we have learned from B.p., “Triumph” and “Patriot”, Myrtezai, calls his sentence unjust.

Recently, Myrteza’s sister, Myhaser Hoxha, came as a visitor. Myrteza Bajraktari is a Kosovar emigrant, and has been sentenced to 4 years with Kapllan Resuli for agitation and propaganda. His file is archived in Directorate IV.
Given the fact that there is operational interest, to take processing measures for Myrtezain and his sister and it is necessary to take the following measures:
To withdraw Myrteza’s file 2 / A from Branch IV and to study to see its connections with the available materials and at the same time to take operational control 2 / B.

In a conversation I had with the Kosovar emigrant, S.B., among other things, told me:
“… I am friends with Myrteza Bajraktari. Despite the mistake he made and was convicted with Kapllan Resuli, all Kosovar emigrants have respect for this. I met him and he told me that; I’m still out of work. He told me that for now, I cannot be admitted to education. I’m looking for some other job…!
He told her that; I was also confused about smuggling issues with people coming from Kosovo, Myrtezai told him: that I learned this well from Idriz Zeqiri. But, Myrtezai said to him: “Know well, remember what I am telling you; never take away the trust from the Party and Comrade Enver, for the issue of Kosovo. Comrade Enver is personally interested in the problems of Kosovo and nothing is done without his knowledge.
He has a special commission for these problems, through which he is interested and controls all the problems related to Kosovo, he also controls other key leaders, to see how much and how much they are updated with the problems of Kosovo. , what are their opinions and how much are they aware of the situation and relations with Kosovo. I am determined and will walk to the end, with Comrade Enver’s teachings on these issues, for which I am very optimistic.
I came to Albania precisely because I love Albania and Kosovo, I was and am against Tito’s policy, for this I have abandoned everything. Even my brother, who until recently I had as a senior officer in Yugoslavia,.
From there I abandoned him and did not call him brother anymore, because he, when I wanted to come to Albania, and that I came later, he told me, agitating and pressuring me to give up my ideas, to I turned my back, not to deal with Albania, but I did not give up my ideas, on the contrary, I told my brother since then, that I do not have a brother.
But what matters is that now, my brother seems to have realized he was wrong. He was demobilized by the army. He wrote me a letter and from this letter I realized that he seems to me to have changed completely, his views and is with my thoughts and ideas, with Albania.
-He said that; his sister came as a guest and on this occasion, invited him to visit. Out of patriotism, as a symbol, Myrteza’s sister had dyed her hair, a red part and a black part, which symbolizes, according to her, the Albanian flag. Myrtezai told S.N., that his brother told him that; I will try to come to Albania with permission… ”.
Below, following the conversation S.B., said that: Myrtezai told me that; Idriz Zeqiri, told his whole story, that he should have been convicted when he was arrested. I am sorry for him.
He is very wrong, that he thinks of returning to Kosovo, and where will I go there?! That is why I am telling you, as a friend that you have, to advise him to give up such a thought, after I have also talked to him about this… ”!
S.B., without letting them know that we are interested in Myrteza, we gave him general tasks, to go to visit Myrteza, since he invited him to meet his sister, he told you that despite the fact that Myrteza was guilty, with Kapllan Resulin, contrary to the Party line, but again, ‘for him we have consideration’. The purpose of going to visit is to learn about her reactions, regarding the situation in Kosovo, etc.
Note:
The letter in question, as far as we know, was received by Myrteza Bajraktari, from her brother, but we were not given it by K.P., but it was sent to the comrades of the III Directorate. Therefore, I think that we should also get acquainted with its content, since we have Myrtezain in the cone. Op. 2 / B and we are controlling and processing it.
S.B., is a Kosovar emigrant in the cone. 2 / B and held close for operational interests, especially towards a visitor who is expected to come and is known to be a U.D.B. agent and comes with Yugoslav Intelligence duties.
