Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the Authority for the Information of the Files of the former State Security, where there is a voluminous file (form processing file and investigative and judicial file) in charge of Gjet Kadel, originally from the village of Bulshar of Oroshi in Mirdita and residing in Bushnesh and Mamurras in Kurbin, former political prisoner in the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and his successor, Ramiz Alia, who spent a full 16 years in communist camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, Burrel , etc. As we will see from the documents that are in the file in charge of Gjet Kadel, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, the surveillance and pursuit of him began in 1957, when he was 17 years old, with the information report of the State Security officer, Fahri Kraja, (based on the data of the Security associate with the nickname “Dylli i Bardhë”, with the approval of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kruja district, lieutenant colonel Muhedin Këxhalliu) , has continued even during the period that he was in camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, where after the revolt of May 1973, Gjeta was re-sentenced, as he was the main ideator for raising the flag without the communist star, continuing in Burrel prison, with the reports-information of the Operative Worker, Piro Nuredini, etc., about Gjeta’s conversations with other prisoners of that prison, such as: Pjetër Arbnori, Daut Gumeni, Abdulla Sallaku, Spartak Ngjela, Avni Aliko, Luan Burimi, Çaush Çoku, Kapllan Resuli, B come Gjonzeneli, Bashkim Shehu, etc. The surveillance and follow-up of Gjet Kadel continued even after his release from prison in 1987, continuing until January 1991, with the collapse of the communist regime, when his file was finally closed and archived in the secret archive of the former State Security. In the same way, an important place in the said files is also occupied by letter correspondence of Gjeta and his family, with their father, Pjetër Kadeli, former soldier of the Monarchy of Zogu, who had blown up the prison cells of of the Internal Branch of Rrëshen, stayed for some time in the mountains on the run and then in 1949, took his son, John, and escaped to Yugoslavia and then to the USA, where he stayed as a political immigrant until the beginning of the 90s, when he returned permanently to Albania. During this period of 35 years, that Gjet Kadeli has been followed and monitored by the State Security, 33 associates of the State Security have been engaged and activated towards him, who have given their reports, starting from “Dilli i bardhe” in 1957- until the “Mountain Swallow” in 1990, which will be reflected in full, as they are in the relevant files.

That: Gjetë Pjetër Kadeli, born in 1940, born in Bulshar town of Rrëshen district and residing in Mamurras, Mamurras locality of Kruja district, with Albanian nationality and citizenship, not organized in the Party, sentenced once to three years in prison for carrying weapons without a permit, married with two children, seven years of education, completed military service, carpenter by profession:
Gjeta comes from a middle-class peasant family, during the occupation of Zog, he had his uncle, Mark Ndrec Kadel, a lieutenant of the Gendarmerie, as well as his father, he was a non-commissioned officer of the Gendarmerie, during this time his family , served loyally to that regime and had the support of that regime at that time, and after the arrival of the fascist Italian occupation, Gjeta’s father, Pjetër Kadeli, was a lieutenant of the Gendarmerie and served loyally to that regime , I confirm this immediately after the liberation of the country, when Gjeta’s two uncles, Zef and Mark Kadeli, were arrested and convicted by our bodies for harboring criminals, while his father, Pjetër Kadeli, after the arrest of his brothers , continued to harbor criminals and for this, he was arrested by our bodies and without going to trial, escaped from prison, took his son, Gjon Kadel, and escaped to Yugoslavia, later he went to America, and now, currently , located in Belgium jíke, together with his son, Gjon Kadel.
Gjeta himself, due to his young age, does not have any activity in the past tense, having finished the seven-year school, started working as a carpenter, later did military service, and again returned home, where he started working as a carpenter, he has been living in Bushnesh, but recently, he bought a house in Mamurras, 140 thousand old ALL, where he has settled with his family. Gjeta has maintained constant correspondence with his father and brother in Belgium, they have helped him financially on a continuous basis.
Recently, from the data of B.p. “Manushaqja”, it turns out that Gjete Kadeli has a connection with the Belgian legate, where he met with them, received letters from his father, through the legate, showed the tendency to escape, with the help of this legate, this material, B.p. “Manushaqja” learned through Pjetër Lugja, from our side, Peter’s statements were taken into the reporting process and for this, a combination and a line of behavior was made for Pjetër Lugja, where this was done in Tirana, there was a hearing through T.O., where Peter’s statements match the surveillance report and T.O.
From the data of B.p., “Cezma e Troja”, it turns out that Gjet Kadeli, in 1966, rode in a car belonging to the Yugoslav legate.

Peter said that; we left at 9 in the morning and stayed until 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon, we went from the Square to “Elbasan Street”, where we passed through the Italian and French legations, from here we went to the Church of St. Prokop, where we stayed for a few hours , until we ate lunch, then we returned from the Faculty of Economics, towards the Italian and French legates, then we returned to “Asim Zeneli” Street, where we made two or three laps on this street and I found there, read the posters that the legate had issued GDR, then we turned back towards the Italian Legation, where we sat on the corner of the street, where the Italian Legation garden is.
There I found, he told me, that here I make the signs that I meet with these legates, but I haven’t met for some time and today, I didn’t get to meet them. In all these places, he went together with Peter Lugja and his previous statements were fully confirmed, with the verification that was done on the spot. The source announces that Gjet Kadeli has a relationship with the Kosovar immigrant, Adem Hoxha, and through him, Gjeta, met the other immigrant, who lives in Lushnje, and came from Yugoslavia, 20 years ago and two years ago, he married a girl in Durrës, this immigrant, in Yugoslavia, left his wife and four sons, and today they are all employed by the state, this immigrant.
Gjeta took him for lunch at his house and slaughtered two chickens, in the conversations that Gjeta had with him, he told him that I have a father who escaped abroad and until recently, he brought us packages and dollars, but these have now been cut off and are no longer coming to us. This immigrant said Gjeta, he promised me, telling me that I will arrange these things, since, in Yugoslavia, I have my family and I write to the boys, so that they write this to your father, that the packages, your father, send to Yugoslavia, to my family, mine, they send me and I will give them to you and for this we will meet in Durrës with my wife’s family.
Later, he, talking to Gjeta, told him if he had brought you any letters, father, and where he is today. I found out that I haven’t written to them in a few days, when we corresponded, I wrote to them in numbers, to send me as much as possible, so that I would have a backup, but they didn’t send me what I wrote to them about I or they didn’t understand me. From there, Gjeta said, that they live well and I will be anxious to go there once and visit all those places where my father and brother are, and I will find the opportunity for this, when I have time.
