Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where is the voluminous file (forms, investigative and court), of Myrteza Bajraktari originating from Gostivar, who after finishing school high school in the city of Tetovo, in 1952, began his higher studies at the University of Skopje, in the branch of Philosophy, where in addition to teaching he was employed as a journalist in the newspaper “Flaka e Vllaznimit” published in Skopje, from where he was fired soon after, he published an article where he was openly against the displacement of Yugoslav Albanians to Turkey and as a result, he was appointed as a teacher in the 7-year school “Shaban Zeneli” in Kumanovo. Myrtezai was arrested by the UDB in 1952, after he was part of a secret organization called the ‘Albanian National-Democratic Organization’, and he was sentenced to seven years in political prison, which he served in the Nis prison and Idrizovo. Escape from Yugoslavia and coming to Albania, where after staying for some time in the internment camp in Seman of Fier, he was given the right to high school, graduating from the University of Tirana in Language and Literature, but after refusing the appointment in the city of Berat, in 1971, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in political prison, on charges of “agitation and propaganda”. Release from prison and leaving without work until the collapse of the communist regime and his appointment as Consul General of Albania in Switzerland, until 1993, and then his election as Honorary President of the Albanian League in the World, for the countries of Benelux, where he worked for the cause of Kosovo, until he passed away on December 11, 2020. The entire complete file of Myrteza Bajraktari, with the names of officials and officers of the State Security, the nicknames of collaborators, “colleagues” and The “compatriots” who followed and monitored him, the provocateurs in the investigation cells, the witnesses who appeared in court, the letters sent to Enver Hoxha and the high official instances where he demanded his innocence, etc., etc., are published for the first time by Memorie .al

On September 18, 1965, he met with Myrteza Bajraktari in the canteen of the Seman sector. During the conversation, Myrtezai asks him where he comes from; while he answers that he comes from Fieri. What do we have from there, says Myrtezai, he does not answer anything and tells him why did not you go out of Seman?!
Myrtezai tells him that they did not leave me, and for that he was upset that they did not even take him to school. If I was released, I had decided not to return to Yugoslavia, but now that I am being held here, if I am released, I will leave for Yugoslavia with my family.
He told her that it is not good to go to Yugoslavia, because we call ourselves Albanians and Albanians are not treated well there. You are fine, says Myrtezai, but it is better for the Yugoslavs to put me in prison and see my family, than to be young here.
When I am released there I will live like a human being, and not like here in animal condition. In Yugoslavia, the people live free, he told me, while I told him: act as you see fit. That’s how we parted.
“Package”
Tasks: 1. During the conversation with Myrtezain, tell him that you have now caught the winter and stayed here, that they are not coming to pick up the previously repatriated immigrants. He announces that he does not remember the exact date, but it has been almost ten days since Myrteza Bajraktari received a postcard from Germany and he advertised this by giving it to his friends, such as Muharrem Bërdynës, etc., which is what is done abroad, wonderful, while we here remained in the camps killing flies, one night I was in Fier and I still have not slept all night, because it was a dirty hotel, because here they do not know how to keep clean. Then Myrtezai told Muharrem that if the Albanian Brigades had not entered Kosovo, we would have liberated Kosovo in time, but they took us by the neck.
The source, when Myrtezai was talking to Muharrem, was lying in bed and listening and did not participate in the conversations; in the room where the source was staying, it is Myrtezai with two other friends, while Muharrem came to the room where we were. He announces that during the recent talks he had with Myrteza Bajraktari, Myrtezai, among other things, said: That I have written a letter to a friend in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and this letter is the last one I am doing, I will I wait until the end of 1965 to be released from Semani and in case I am not released, I will apply for repatriation to Yugoslavia, how to go to Yugoslavia, I will maneuver the investigator in any way, to escape from prison and after getting out of prison, I will do my best to go to Turkey, or Germany.
And there, as soon as I go, I will ask to be given a room, to write a book against Communism, I will lock myself in the room and start writing about all the ways they have used and continue to use to oppress peoples and I will tell these (spoke offensive words to the Albanian people). Then Myrtezai, begins to say offensive words about Communism and saying that Communism, has come as an inevitable catastrophe.
The communists are really barbarians, we are taking the example in Indonesia, which recently killed seven best generals and many others, but now the government of Sukarno is clearing them all to eliminate it, since Sukarno has the support of the people, here it appears square that the communists are belligerent and not the United States of America and the Americans are for peace and not the communists, here Myrtezai spoke with great hatred cursing and insulting the communists.
Then he says: Myrtezai has advised him that when we are talking together and a third man is coming, you leave after, and we should not be three people, because here comes the work of a witness, when we are three people:
Myrtezai told him that: when you go to Yugoslavia, ask the investigator to go to the West, to Germany, because there you have the opportunity to work and live as you want, because there the worker has a salary of 150,000 dinars, with money of Yugoslavia, of these, 30,000 to be kept by the Yugoslav government as tax, so it is better to live there, than the investigator to ask where you will go and work and ask you to go to Germany. In this case, that they say to cooperate with UDB, you do not accept and behave servile.
He told Myrteza about a letter he had received from his father, in which his father told him to reject the request for repatriation and send it to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Myrtezai said: write a letter to your father and say that, if you do not come to my house, I do not refuse the prayer, because if I refuse, they keep me here again, because they want a reason and showed me in the letter that many immigrants who are free, have prayed to return to Yugoslavia, as well as those who are in Seman.
In order not to anger my father, to go to Yugoslavia and blame the Albanian Government, to gain the trust of Myrtezai, he told me that I am determined to return to Yugoslavia and Myrtezai from this remained very pleased.
Myrtezai continues to associate a lot with Muharrem Bërdyna, but he is not interested in what conversations they have, so as not to suspect, no one has asked him.

Task
