The complete file of Albanian students in the former Soviet Union, where most of them, mainly those who attended military academies, had major problems and faced many vicissitudes with the official Russian authorities, being put to the extent of the arrest and the intervention of the Albanian military attaché in Moscow, Major General Halim Ramohito, to unblock the situation and return the Albanian military students to their homeland.

VERY SECRET
R E P O R T
During our stay in Baku, from beginning to end we heard from the officers, the trainees, and also from the people, various insults about Khrushchev. One such case was when the price of a bus ticket operating from ‘uçelishtja’ in Baku rose from 40 kopecks to 2 rubles. We first heard from people calling Khrushchev, “corn” and “bald.” In discussions with us many officers and trainees, without asking us at all, told us that Khrushchev is vindictive and will do as he pleases. Many Azerbaijanis, in particular, insulted him and said that it was not Stalin who committed the crimes, but Khrushchev who took all the decorations for himself. They also humorously said that: now he will come up with Khrushchev’s proposal, a decoration in the form of corn cob. We were very impressed by the attitude of the people when Khrushchev visited Baku.
His car was traveling at very high speed and stood near the central grandstand. When a woman approached Khrushchev to give him salty bread, only 20 people applauded, while others whistled. During this time, the Soviet command has maintained a good attitude towards us. After the arrival of our Attaché in Baku, the command started asking us why your Attaché came here. After the end of the Moscow Summit, the attitude of the Soviet command towards us also changed a lot. This change became even more pronounced when the Soviet government expelled our military attaché from the territory of the Soviet Union. During this period, the First Secretary of the Legation, Gac Mazi, comes to us and fully explains the situation. When we were always walking, one of the Securities came from behind us and for this reason we held the meeting with the friend of the embassy in the park. When we finished the meeting, me and a trainee, Baki Balili, called the Deputy Commander for Political Affairs of the ‘Uchilishte’ and told us to communicate the reason why we were fleeing the Soviet Union.
We told him the whole truth, and he suggested that we not say anything to the trainees and the Soviet people, but tell them that we were leaving with permission and that we would return. In the aftermath of these days many Soviet soldiers wanted to know the reason why we were fleeing their homeland. And in the end everyone said the most negative words about Khrushchev and his comrades. A Capt. Who gave military chemistry, Hitrimov, when we told him why we were leaving, declared: “Khrushchev is like a caterpillar drinking blood little by little, but in the end he will burst. You love your Party. and Comrade Enver, for you and our right will win. ” He stated that he had been to Albania and that the Albanian people admired the Soviet people. Also a Captain I, a torpedo engineer, told us that: what he does kerosene we find out, as he is building the steel plant in India and the Indians, are fighting in Tibet against the Chinese. “Kukuruzu,” he said is undermining the unity of our socialist camp with those trips to the US, calling Eisenhower “my drug” and greatly diminishing the prestige of the USSR and socialism.
When we were informed that the party had made the decision for us to return home, the Soviet command stopped their trainees from meeting with us. But still, they came to us and asked us to meet. From our conversations, they learned the whole truth and demanded meetings at the Party Organization. When we got ready to leave, the Soviet trainees did not let them meet us, but they cheered in honor of our friendship. In the last meeting I had with my professor, Captain I Izotov, he told me: “This communist party was created by Lenin, and in this party there are such forces as even the greatest careerist, such as this one. Our elder, to show him the place. Our party has gone through many storms, but this present is the most dangerous.
In every conversation we have had, whether with ordinary citizens or with officers, they have a great deal of antipathy for Khrushchev and his comrades. During our train journey, with most of the passengers we met and talked to, they labeled Khrushchev a vile and vindictive man. A lieutenant colonel in the air defense told us that such a vicious caterpillar had never been seen before. Khrushchev was the cause of death of the Commander-in-Chief of the missiles as well as the cause of many other accidents. In the republics of the Caucasus Khrushchev, does not enjoy any authority even in many prominent places of the city, there are many pictures that show him very ugly.

Conversation e A.P.P.SH. Jorgji Pando, with the former Director of the Faculty, Col. Cibikin Afanas Vasilijevic
Cibikin: Well, comrade Pando, you will flee and we do not know where you will be assigned?!
Pando: They will find us a job if they let us go free, as you have started talking about lately.
Cibikin: This is what the Soviets who came from Albania told us, expelled from you and stoned.
Pando: This is a big problem of international scale to break the friendship?! But for our information, we met some of those Soviets “expelled” from our country, and we could not distinguish their “wounds” from the stones. Rather, we saw in their eyes indignant tears at the injustices done to a generous and hospitable people. And those Soviets, remember well that our people “shot” them with bouquets of flowers.
Cibikin: To you, this is what your party and the Albanian embassy here told you, it instructed you to “nastrojenje” against the Soviet Union.
Pando: You are speculating in the sense of “ignorance” with the Soviet Union. You confuse this word with the crooked line followed by your group. Our party and embassy, it is more than true that they have instructed us well and beautifully to maintain friendship with the people and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Like you, the people of this line have guided you without telling you the truth, and this is evident from your words.
Cibikin: Yes, they instructed you to speak against Khrushchev, not understanding that our country and Nikita are one and inseparable.
Pando: For some time now the “panjatije” and “people-party” Marxists in your country are no longer one. A Marxist leadership always expresses the wishes of the masses and the people.
Cibikin: With these views, do you think that friendship is strengthened?!
Pando: As long as you follow this course, do you think that friendship will be strengthened?! We know that only Marxism has certain norms in friendship.
Cibikin: D.m.th. according to you we are not Marxists?!
Pando: It is not difficult to come to the right conclusions if you follow the situation of things.
Cibikin: In your opinion, who is a Marxist?!
Pando: I remember many times, you have told us that you know Comrade Mao Zedong personally and admire him as a great man. (This Cibikini, has been in China for several years, as a discoverer before its liberation). This, I declared to him, is one of those great and wise ones.
Cibikin: Maybe your Enver Hoxha is “vsemirnij izvjesnij”. Then I, I have never talked about Mao Zedong.
Pando: Comrade Enver, he is really well known throughout the Marxist world. And the bad thing is that your Nikita himself said that. But now that we have not followed your revisionist line, he is no longer known to us! It’s not up to you. Then, your attitude of denying what you have said about Comrade Mao Zedong is justified, if the view of your line is known without any stability, as well as from your personal point of view. Since your retirement is approaching, and as it is known recently many people for well-known reasons do not enjoy this right, and not only that. And I am very sorry that from your mouth, as an old man you are, to deny what you said a long time ago.
Cibikin: Mao Zedong, it would be great if he would step out of office and get in touch with the people.
Pando: He has made contacts and organized all those great people since the time he fought. Then one thing to keep in mind is that Marxists do not consider their leaders to be state merchants.
Cibikin: For example, our Nikita has not left a place without going for the protection of peace. This is Marxist.
Pando: In your opinion, even the princes with their suite and their family who travel the world, protect peace?! Recently a strange thing is being added to Marxism. That if the communist leaders kiss and caress the capitalist leaders, then the latter will soften us and then become “peaceful” to us?!
(Note: A day later, Khrushchev’s cordial meeting with Sukarno was being televised. the response that these were the arguments that had deceived you. That you, believe more in Sukarno, than in the communist war that has put them in prisons as a result of this policy).
Cibikin: Your slogan is war and let half of humanity die, then the other half go to communism.
Pando: Even meanness has its limits. This is not the first time such words have been heard against Marxists. We have heard these before from the American imperialists, then from the Yugoslav revisionists, and now that you have copied them, we are hearing them from you as well. But our answer is the same for you. The people are not interested in war, because it brings great destruction, but the way the people will defend the peace is different from what your revisionism and opportunism preach.
Cibikin: Then, he said take the knives through his teeth (and made a gesture by holding the knife in his mouth as if to show that we are criminals holding knives in our teeth) and fight.
Pando: Several other times they have told you that you are not very clear about the concepts of politics. (Comrade Mato Idrizi, too, had previously told Cibikin). Yes you do, do as you are told. But for clarification, if necessary, we will also defend Marxism-Leninism with a knife in the teeth.
Cibikin: In your opinion, we will stand idly by and not fight?!
Pando: Against whom, will you fight?!
Cibikin: Against imperialism.
Pando: What do you mean by imperialism?!
Cibikin: American Imperialism.
Pando: You are kissing them and you are describing them as the pride of the nation, at a time when shortly after praising De Gaulle, he shoots against your leader?!
Cibikin: You do not know the situation in Albania, as it has changed a lot recently./Memorie.al
