Memorie.al / Due to the special specificity that Albanian Radio-Television had, as one of the most important information and propaganda institutions of the communist regime until the end of the 80s, it was not only under constant supervision and subordination of the secretariat of the Central Committee of PPSh, but also of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and State Security, which as “ORV” (Object of Special Importance), kept it under strict control, not only from the physical security side of that institution, but to the “cleanliness and moral and political figure” of its employees, whose biography was looked at in detail for several generations, passing them through a fine “sieve”, year after year .

Not only that, but the State Security bodies, through the agency they had recruited within that institution, had and kept Radio-Television under constant and strict control, penetrating all its links, as ; directorate, relevant newsrooms, editing points, broadcasting studios, sound recording studio, archives, film production groups, warehouses, backstage, drivers and their vehicles, up to the physical control of employees and guests, at the gates they entered and exited the doors. All these, among others, are revealed by a series of archival documents that are part of a secret file (now de-classified) that belongs to this very important institution, since its creation in 1961, and until the collapse of the communist regime in 1991.

From this voluminous file with thousands of sheets, which were extracted from the Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (former State Security Fund), which are part of the Authority for Information of Files of the former State Security, we have selected three documents belonging to the years 1975, 1978 and 1982, where the directors of the Directorate of Internal Affairs of Tirana, namely Nustret Dauti and Zef Loka, inform the Central Committee of the ALP, on all the problems of this institution. For more about this, we know the documents in question, which are published for the first time by Memorie.al

This transfer was requested and made by the enemy of the people, Teme Sejko. From our sources, it appears that at the 4th Congress of the ALP, he wanted to meet with the delegate of the Greek Communist Party, who was participating in the congress. It has also been stated that; “the uniform I’m wearing looks like Dhespot’s, I know what’s in my heart.” In 1964 it was stated that; I will go to Poland to join my Party (materials are closed and we think not to be exposed).

The ambassador instructed his wife to tell Hysen to keep this matter a secret. In 1962, for a speech by Comrade Enver, he said that; this article stifles criticism. When relations with the Soviet Union were broken, he expressed concern, saying; “How will we do it now” (the materials are closed and we think they should not be exposed).

Maqua said: “Are these leaders of our party in their right mind. They have long said that without the Soviet Union, socialism cannot be built, but now they speak differently. They are isolating us from everyone. Only China will do what. Maqua listened Radio-London and the Czech radio, he made comments about them”. Comes from a poor class family, in the past with good standing. Mehmeti was a party candidate but was excluded as an active member. During the time he was a student in the years 1964-1967, he propagated against the Party and popular power, defending Toliat, he mocked the speeches of Comrade Enver, he says that; in our country there is no freedom of art, freedom of action, etc. It is against the orientations of the Party for the emancipation of women. Hope shook my hand and said, “Don’t be upset that you got kicked out, it was worth it. It is enough that this became such a festival”.
  7. Mërkur Saliko Bozgo, born in 1941, born in Gjirokastër, with higher education, profession editor, living in Tirana. Hailing from a middle-class background, his family is known for its good standing. In 1972, it was implicated in the process of Mark Dema and Terezina Dema, for which they say that; we spoke with Merkur, expressing that there is no freedom here, people are exploited here, who works differently, and who gets praise. This government did not do well to destroy churches and mosques, because in civilized countries, religion is free. This government follows Chinese politics. Our people suffer a lot, as there are food shortages, wages are low. Art and culture have been raised in Western countries; here it is low level, etc. No action has been taken against him, because…
