Part thirteen
Memorie.al publishes some archival documents issued by the Authority for the Information of the Files of the former State Security, where there is a voluminous file (the processing form file with 433 pages and the investigative and judicial file with 632 pages) in charge of Gjet Kadel, originating from the village of Bulshar in Oroshi of Mirdita and living in Bushnesh and Mamurras of Kurbin, former political prisoner in the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and his successor, Ramiz Alia, who spent 16 years in communist camps and prisons, as in Spaç, Burrel, etc. As we will see from the documents that are in the file in charge of Gjet Kadel, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, the surveillance and pursuit of him began in 1957, when he was 17 years old, with the information report of the State Security officer, Fahri Kraja, (based on the data of the Security associate with the nickname “Dylli i Bardhë”, with the approval of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kruja district, lieutenant colonel Muhedin Këxhalliu) , continued even during the period he was in camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, where after the revolt of May 1973, Gjeta was sentenced again, as he was the main ideator for raising the flag without the communist star, continuing then in the prison of Burrel, with the reports-information of the Operative Worker, Piro Nuredini, etc., about Gjeta’s conversations with other convicts of that prison, such as: Pjetër Arbnori, Daut Gumeni, Abdulla Sallaku, Spartak Ngjela, Avni Aliko, Luan Burimi , Çaush Çoku, Kapllan Resuli, B come Gjonzeneli, Bashkim Shehu, etc. The surveillance and follow-up of Gjet Kadel continued even after his release from prison in 1987, continuing until January 1991, with the collapse of the communist regime, when his file was finally closed and archived in the secret archive of the former State Security. In the same way, an important place in the said files is also occupied by letter correspondence of Gjeta and his family, with their father, Pjetër Kadeli, former soldier of the Monarchy of Zogu, who had blown up the prison cells of Internal Branch of Rrëshen on July 28, 1950, stayed for some time in the mountains on the run, and then in 1951, secretly returned to Mirdita, took his son, Gjoni, and escaped to Yugoslavia and then to the USA- es, where he stayed as a political emigrant, until the beginning of the 90s, when he returned permanently to Albania. During this period of almost 35 years since Gjet Kadeli has been followed and monitored by the State Security, a total of 33 associates of the State Security have been engaged and activated against him, who have given their reports, starting from “White Wax” in 1957, until the “Mountain Swallow” in 1990, which will be reflected in full, as they are in the relevant files.

RECORDS
(OF THE QUESTION OF THE WITNESS, FRAN JOHN GJINAJ)
In Kruja, on 27.IX.1972
I, Hamdi Shullazi, investigator at the Krujë Internal Affairs Branch, in the presence of officer Thanas Totos, interrogated citizen Fran Gjin (Lufin), son of Gjon and Prena, born in the village of Lufaj in the district, as a witness. of Mirdita and family resident in the village of Bushnesh in the district of Kruja, born November 1, 1951, with a higher education and profession as an agronomist, now working as a teacher in the village of Ballaush in the district of Tirana, married, has not completed military service, with Albanian citizenship and nationality. The investigator warned me of criminal liability, in accordance with Article 222 of the Criminal Code, in case I restrict or give false testimony.
THE WITNESS
Fran Gjon Gjinaj (Lufi)
Regarding what I am asking, about Gjet Pjetër Kadel, I have said that:
Gjet Kadeli, originally from Mirdita and family resident in the center of Mamurra, I have known since a young age, because he lived in the village of Bushnesh and we worked together in the agricultural cooperative. In 1969, I graduated from high school in Peshkopi, for Agronomy, so Gjeta and I had occasions when we met. We discussed various problems.
In April of the following year, I don’t remember the exact month, I met with Gjeta in the center of Mamurras, at which time I was accompanied by Kujtim Prushin, we met in the center of the square of Mamurras and the three we went to coffee, I introduced Kujtim to Gjeta, knowing that Gjeta did not know Kujtim, even I remember telling Kujtim that I have Gjeta as my cousin, he is loyal and other conversations.
During various conversations there in the café, Gjeta said that: Agricultural cooperatives are economies that use the sweat of the villagers, people do not provide bread, but they suffer badly.
Gjeta characterized our party, not as a party of the working class and the working peasantry, and as a vanguard of the working masses for the construction of socialism, but as a Party of some people who are in leadership and do not think about the life of the people, who supposedly are suffers, but they only look out for themselves, living a luxurious life, making many expenses, etc., on the other hand, Gjeta showed hatred for the leader of the party and our state, saying that there is no equality, he is exploiting the people. Kujtimi and I have opposed it, even I have told him that; these words that you are speaking, Gjeta, are not true, firstly because it is not as you say, that in agricultural cooperatives one does not live well and has no income, he (Gjeta) tried to convince me that they were what he said was true.
Here. for example, said Gjeta; your father, Gjon Lufi, when he was private, he worked 6 months a year and lived very well, but now he works all year in an agricultural cooperative up to 16 hours a day and with the income he receives, he does not even provide bread, so go and talk with your father, that ay shows you how life was in the past. With that, we parted ways. After three weeks, we met again in Mamurras center, where I was again accompanied by Kujtim. I found after he greeted me, he turned to me asking me that; where you work now, I told him that for now, I have not settled down to work. I found said; did you quit your job, or did they fire you, because they don’t forget that you had a gendarme father, I told him, if that was the case, the state wouldn’t have given me a scholarship, at that time when we needed staff, as an agronomist, but now there are many agronomists, but you have not worked as an agronomist.
Here, Gjeta was talking about making me unhappy, and even Gjeta said, I am a master and I don’t work in an agricultural cooperative for the 10 old ALL I get per working day, I earn because I have a good master’s craft and I earn more than a person who has done 11 years of school. I tell Gjeta that; the agricultural cooperative, and especially the Burizan agricultural cooperative, had and still have a very good income, so I do not agree with what you say that it is not good to live in an agricultural cooperative because it has a small income, etc. I found it in the form of laughter said; when did you become a communist?!
I said; go and ask your father, if he lives well today, how hard he spends his life, others, because in the agricultural cooperative, he can’t even make ends meet. On the other hand, Gjet Kadeli told me that; I have my father and brother who fled abroad in America, they send me money and packages, I live the best and I don’t need to work in the agricultural cooperative, here Gjeta, he continued and said that; you, with all the schooling you have, are not able to make a living, but in foreign countries, workers earn and lead a cultured life, while here, living is difficult. I told Gjeta that; you are a sworn enemy of the party and our state and you want to make friends with yourself, even here, Kujtimi intervened and told Gjeta that; for what you told us, I denounce you to the competent authorities. I found said; go and denounce wherever you want, no one believes your words. We didn’t linger here any longer. Gjet Kadeli also had close friendships with Pjetër Lugja.
I have been told that, Gjet Kadeli, you deal with private work, I remember that he told me that I will fix a knife, others, even about the knives that Gjeta told me, the police also know. Gjet Kadel and I have neither enmity nor quarrels, on the contrary, I got along well with him, he trusted me knowing that I had a gendarme father and recently, I had left as an agronomist from the agricultural cooperative. I found out that Gjeta has been arrested and for this reason I came voluntarily to testify to you about the conversations I had with him, as I explained above and I am ready to tell Gjet Kadel in the confrontation as well.
Process read, found OK and signed.

THE WITNESS
Mark Kaçi
Regarding the case, I said that around the months of May-June 1972, I met by chance Gjet Kadel living in Mamurras, now I have found out that he has been arrested, a friend gave me 5-6 revolver cartridges some time ago Soviet and I had 5-6 pieces of broken Italian “Berret” pistol cartridges and Gjeta told me to find Soviet cartridges to modify them, so I gave him the cartridges and he modified them for me, for the “Berret” pistol, kl . 7.65.
He modified these for me for a period of three or four weeks. He did not take revenge on me. I did not ask him where he fixed (modified) them.
