Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where is the voluminous file (forms, investigative and judicial), of Myrteza Bajraktari originating from Gostivar, who after finishing school high school in the city of Tetovo, in 1952, began his higher studies at the University of Skopje, in the branch of Philosophy, where in addition to teaching he was employed as a journalist in the newspaper “Flaka e Vllaznimit” published in Skopje, from where he was fired soon after he published an article openly opposing the displacement of Yugoslav Albanians to Turkey and, as a result, was appointed a teacher at the 7-year school “Shaban Zeneli” in Kumanovo. Myrtezai was arrested by the UDB in 1952, after he was part of a secret organization called the ‘Albanian National-Democratic Organization’, and he was sentenced to seven years in political prison, which he served in the Nis prison and Idrizovo. Escape from Yugoslavia and coming to Albania, where after staying for some time in the internment camp in Seman of Fier, he was given the right to high school, graduating from the University of Tirana in Language and Literature, but after refusing the appointment in the city of Berat, in 1971, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in political prison, on charges of “agitation and propaganda”. His release from prison left him without a job until the fall of the communist regime and his appointment as Consul General of Albania in Switzerland, until 1993, as well as his election as Honorary President of the Albanian League in the World, for the countries of Benelux, where he worked for the cause of Kosovo, until he passed away on December 11, 2020. The source announces that he had a meeting and had a conversation with Myrteza Bjraktari on the afternoon of 27.6.1978. Myrtezai told him what he had done that he had not come; he replied that he had come several times but had not met him. You are right, said Myrtezai, I have a lot of work and in the afternoon he finds me at home. They went out and did some shopping, since Myrtezai also had a job.
He asked if there were any young women, and Myrtezai told him that he had been to Uncle Hyseni, since Uncle Hyseni had come to him with his granddaughter and son-in-law from Yugoslavia. I went and met him, said Myrtezai, in Golem, but Uncle Hyseni brought me a lot of cold. I blame you for a couple of small gifts they gave me, which may have reduced Uncle Hysen’s fund, but the fact is, he kept me cool.
He further asked him if there had been anything in Lushnje and Fier. Myrtezai told him that; in Lushnje it had been that Uncle Nuriu had been hospitalized, but in Fier I had not been and I had no news. Myrtezai further said that a friend from Struga named Nezir had come to him, with whom he had been in prison together in Yugoslavia. “I talked to him well,” said Myrtezai, as it were.
What things did you talk about, he said? Myrtezai told him that, in the first place, he had talked about his case. I have sent words to inquire about the issue of my return, also insisting on the Turkish side, because this Neziri knows his sister and sister’s husband, because his sister’s husband is from Struga. Neziri has come to meet his father, who is here in Albania.
Neziri had told him that; we know many things here in Albania, but I came to see them with my own eyes. In fact, we live better there, we have even more abundance. Myrtezai had approved and told him that these, left me 17 years without a job and now with a university degree, hardly introduced me as a storekeeper.
Neziri had told him that some of the friends he had been in prison with were now working for the Yugoslav Security. D.m.th., said Myrtezai, now they have become spies?! No more, no, Neziri replied, why should we have the president of the Serbian Branch and not the Kosovar one. What’s wrong here, with their position they help me too.
Neziri had promised Myrteza that he would do everything possible for his return, talking to these comrades, former comrades in prison. After drinking a glass of brandy, Myrtezai with tears in his eyes, said that; they killed me in three directions, spiritual, moral and political. Myrtezai said the soul; they killed me and put me in prison. What hope do I have now at the age of 44?!
I am so murdered and desperate that I was not impressed. Two or three times he told him about Fier, Myrtezai said that; I have not been and I do not know of any new ones. Of course he asked the questions carefully, but Myrtezai did not know anything, or pretended not to know. In the end they broke up leaving a meeting from the week.

The source informs that on Sunday morning, August 20, 1978, he met with Myrteza Bajraktari at his house and later we decided to go to Idriz Lleshi, with whom Myrtezai wanted to meet. He said that he wanted to buy some books from Idrizi, since Idrizi sells books. After they met Idrizi and Myrtezai told him that this is my friend, about whom I talked to you, it came to the Prizren connection, where Idrizi said that the President of the Prizren League was not Abdyl Frashëri, as they claim, but another, a Pasha.
He asked why this was done, but Idrizi said; so i know and i do not like to go into details. In Idrizi he saw that he kept books of religious character, such as: “The Old Testament”, etc. From there, he and Myrtezana went and drank beer. He there told Myrteza that; you are very wise and do not talk to me before, but apparently you would have been with another friend. Myrtezai told him that he had not been with any other friend, but that he had nothing to do.
Then Myrtezai told him that; is there any interest in me, or in any embassy, because if he enters and seeks political asylum in any embassy, will he hand me over to them, or not? He told him that such an action would be reckless, because even if the embassy does not surrender, you know that they will find a way and kidnap, especially since no state can boast of these. Myrtezai said; to these go seven of those of the North.
He told her that it could be as you say, but the facts so far show the opposite, that so far they have humiliated Tito to the extent that he does not hold and there is no answer from them, ostensibly as if they do not care. That is what Myrtezai said, because you know so much, he said well, tell me you know. Myrtezai told him that they are very afraid of being attacked by Kosovo.

Clarification: Idriz Lleshi, is from Velika Dibra, Yugoslavia, there are materials in the information file, but they are irrelevant, recently, he was accused by a citizen of stealing a bicycle.

OPERATIVE NOTE
On December 11, 1978, I accidentally met Hysen Tali, a pensioner living in Golem, Durrës district. Hyseni had come to the hotel “Arbëria”, to meet a man of his who had come with the Theater of Prishtina. During conversations with Hysen, he told me that; I here in Albania, I had a very good time, because I behaved well. Recently my people from Yugoslavia came to me and stayed with me for a month.
Many people came to my house to meet them, among them Myrteza Bajraktari, whom I knew ten years ago. In conversation with him, Hyseni said that; Myrtezai is an honest Albanian, he fought for Albania and for this, and the UDB has twice put him in prison. As a result, he came to Albania in his homeland.
Myrtezai has been in prison, as a link of Kapllan Resuli, and has stayed two years. To be honest, I, like Hysen, have never seen Kapllani, how he got into prison, I do not know, but I know that he is a good man, especially now, who has been put to work as himself and his wife.
In November of this year, I met Myrtezai at his house. During conversations with him, he told me that; now I am very well, only with a good salary and work, I stay all day with a car supplying the warehouse, who does not tell me even the smallest thing, I have a wife at work and her salary is good, only she has little away, but let him walk a little so that he gets tired and knows the job. These two salaries are enough for me, because I have only two children, for loot, I do not need, since we have them all.
Myrtezai told me that one thing worries me, that my uncle does not give me the Turkish passport to go to Turkey. These of ours, they gave him at once, did a very good job, that he is about to die, without seeing his people with his own eyes. Recently, I laughed in Lushnje and met my uncle (Nuri Gostivar), he told me that: I am very sick, he is afraid of dying, without seeing people with his eyes.
Hyseni said: Myrtezana and I, all the time I went well, he never spoke badly about our country; on the contrary, he spoke very well to me, although for a long time he was out of work. For the comrades of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there is respect, because they say Myrtezai, intervened and put me to work. Other things, Hyseni did not tell me. All these conversations were made with Hysen, without knowing who we are interested in.

The source informs that around 22.1.1979, he met with Myrtezana, who told him that he had received from his sister, Mysereti, a postcard with very positive content. Myrtezai now hopes that his sister and son-in-law will try to bring him to Yugoslavia.
He told Myrteza that if he did not do anything his sister, would he escape? Myrtezai replies that I am now 45 years old and the chances are slim that you can get out of here, so it does not suit me, because if they do not kill you at the border, put you in prison for 10-15 years and you will get out of there, old man, so my life in prison escaped me.
However, Myrtezai said, even if 1% of my mind wanders to escape, I will not leave, without ………., As well as for the children. Myrtezai further said that; Uncle Hysni of Golem, is seriously ill in the hospital, I doubt Myrtezai said, that his wife did not do anything to him, although, it is said that he is with Botkin. I believe it is over at all. Other things he did not tell me.
