The Document of the Mirdita Party Committee Meeting is Revealed
Memorie.al / According to Nikollë Mëlyshi, on July 1, 1949, Ndue Pjetër Gjomarkaj and Ndue Mëlyshi held a meeting with the leaders of anti-communist guerrilla groups (about 60 people). Here they reorganized the sub-committee of Mirdita, with Ndue Pjetër Gjomarkaj as chairman, Ndue Bajraktari as vice-chairman, and three members. The killing of Bardhok Biba was also decided, due to the abolition of customs, the murders, the sending of girls to volunteer brigades for road and railway construction, etc. The murder was carried out by the punitive body of the Regional Sub-committee of Mirdita, at 4:30 PM, on Sunday, August 7, 1949, at the time when Bardhoku was passing through to go to a communist conference in Kaçinar. The decision of the aforementioned sub-committee was left on the corpse.
At 9:30 PM on August 7, the body of Bardhok Biba was placed in the hall of the Executive Committee of the Mirdita District, while the burial ceremony took place the next day. The newspaper “Bashkimi” (The Union) on August 8, 1949, wrote that; “Bardhoku spared nothing for the liberation of the people from the occupiers and from the chieftains, for the construction of the foundations of socialism and for the fight against those who want to prevent the people from this path. Mehmet Shehu and Gjin Marku participated in the ceremony. Bardhok’s father stated: ‘Long live the Party, Enver, and all communists. My Bardhok is not dead, but has been born.'”
The Extraordinary Meeting of the PPSh Committee of Mirdita District
In the evening hours of August 9, 1949, the extraordinary meeting of the Party Committee of Mirdita District was held. The following were absent due to work on the ground situation: Theodhor Gjati, Sulejman Manoku, Isuf Kullolli, Sejdin Alizoti, Frrok Pjetri, and Llesh Pjetër Nikolli. The first item on the agenda was: “Vigilance and the fight against the enemy.” Most of them accused Bardhok of not knowing how, or not wanting, to defend him.

COMRADE Muhamer Spahiu: …The primary responsibility for the murder of Comrade Bardhok falls first and foremost on Comrade Bardhok Biba, who, despite the advice from the Central Committee, did not take self-defense measures. Furthermore, the responsibility also falls on the Bureau, which did not advise or caution Comrade Bardhok.
…The murder of Comrade Bardhok should not frighten the comrades, but should be a greater mobilization for the elimination of criminals.
The essential duty of the party organizations is to help the Security organs. The murder of Comrade Bardhok Biba must be exploited with hatred against the reaction, in the mobilization of the state plan, etc. For this, great political work with the masses is needed. The people must understand that we are strong and that we will eliminate all enemies.
For this, the individual agitation of party members must be used, because this way we will manage to instill hatred towards the enemies and security in the situation. The Party must fight against the backward and weak customs of this district, but the good ones, such as besa (pledge of honor), for example, should not be destroyed, but always emphasizing that besa is not with criminals, because they have no besa, but with the loyal element.
COMRADE Januz Nebija: I want to say that Comrade Bardhok underestimated the enemy; this is true, whenever he moved alone in the field. I agree that Comrade Bardhok had these shortcomings, but I say we should come out with a decision to exploit the opportunity of Bardhok’s murder for hatred against the enemy and the mobilization of the organization for the state plan…!
COMRADE Velo Marku: Regarding Bardhok Biba, I say that the main fault lies with the Bureau, which did not address at all that Bardhoku underestimated the enemy…!

COMRADE Pjetër Lleshi: As for the issue that Bardhoku was assigned in the work plan in Shpal, I do not consider it a mistake, because that was the weakest terrain, but I do not agree with the lack of interest in self-defense…!
