Memorie.al publishes a file that was obtained some time ago by the institution of the Authority for the Information of Files of the former State Security, where the investigative, judicial and processing file of the citizen Kasëm Hoxha, originally from the village of Markat in Saranda and residing in the USA since 1985, when he was able to escape from Albania to Greece, after having suffered ten years in the Spaçi camp, convicted of “agitation and propaganda against popular power”. At the time of his arrest, on June 21, 1973, by the State Security bodies, of the Internal Affairs Branch of the Saranda district, some “compromising materials”, such as poems and tracts, were found in his house , where he called “for the overthrow of popular power”, etc. The file in charge of the citizen Kaso Hoxha, (now de-classified) begins with the processing, where the State Security bodies and the Department of Internal Affairs of the district of Saranda make every effort to find the author of the letter. with deep hostile content”, which was thrown in the center of Markat village (with residents of the Cham community), where after a long time, with the help of the Central Criminal Laboratory, near the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tirana, it became possible, in order to clarify and identify that the writing on that letter was Kaso Hoxha’s, this also led to his arrest. The file in question continues with the investigative and judicial process against him, where he, after suffering ten years in Spaçi prison, in November 1982 returned to his native village, Markat, where from the first days, he was followed and monitored. by the bodies of the State Security, who had engaged not only some associates of the Security, but also his close family members, this forced Kaso, to escape arrest, to escape from Albania, crossing the state border, to the state neighbors, Greece. After some time staying in the Llavros Camp, he gained the status of a political asylum seeker, to go to the United States of America, where even there, he continued to be followed and monitored by the State Security bodies (Albanian Political Intelligence, which was camouflaged with his residency, near the Diplomatic Mission in the United Nations Organization) and some of its secret agents, until 1991, when the communist regime in Albania collapsed. Kaso Hoxha’s story became known after the publication of his book “Beautiful land, ugly people”, which he entrusted to Memorie.al in manuscript, it now comes through the documents of the State Security, (where they are, reports of collaborators of State Security, with their pseudonyms, letters, notes, information, relations, information reports, interceptions with operational techniques, etc., of State Security officers, investigators, officers of the Department of Internal Affairs, of the district of Saranda, etc., to the residency of Political Intelligence in the USA, and its agents there), which begin in 1973 and end in 1991, when his file was archived once and for all.

NOTE – OPERATIONAL
ON THE STUDY OF THE PERSONALITY OF KASEM HOXHA
From the various conversations we had with communists such as: Nezir Memsuri and Ibrahim Munga from Markati, it turned out that Kasem Hoxha is young, who was released from the army last year and is specialized in communication.
Looking at his physical make-up, he is a guy with a tall body about 1.70 tall, without characteristic marks, blond hair and a regular face.
In terms of intellect, he is good, he is responsible, he does not suffer from any disease, he is a closed and quite quiet type, he has a very limited social circle, he is sober and not hasty in speaking, he rather listens than to talk about different things and is not thrown.
He is connected to family and housework and it seems that after finishing work, he immediately goes home. He doesn’t like to move around the city, or in the center of the village, or is interested in having fun, such as evenings, excursions, dinners or weddings and parties. He is smart and commands respect.
So far there is no known bad behavior in the village.

NOTE -OPERATIVE
I, the Operative Worker of the Saranda Department of Internal Affairs, Nevruz Haxhia, make this operational note, today on 26.11.72, because in a conversation I had with citizen Thoma Koço Miçoni, among other things, he told me that: on 25.11..72, around 4 p.m., I met with Kaso Hoxha from Markat village, in the devalued goods store of Delvina, where during the conversations I had with him, he told me that I found out that he works in the salt mine and after I confirmed that I really work there, he told me that you q…. mother she salt.
Then the conversation started about his cousin who has escaped to Greece, Selfo Hoxha, about whom Kasua told me that he met Bilal Xhaferri and Bajram Shuaip at Hoxha’s party and from there they escaped to Greece, where the initiator of this was done by Selfua, who previously said that he would go to Tirana.
Regarding these people who escaped, Kasua said that: they did very well to escape, because they would have put Selfo in prison, while Bilali wrote a good amount of writings and works, but they unfairly did not value him and rejected him.
For this escape, says Kasemi, Selfua was preparing for a long time and many times he went to work near the clone, near the border, allegedly for water and with other pretexts, in order to look at the border and possible places to cross the border, but on the other hand, Selfua was building a house in the village, and had even thrown the roof over it, in order not to suspect them.
While Bilal came to the village under the pretext that he was going to marry a girl from Markat village. Regarding these facts, where and how Kasua knew these things, he did not give any explanation.
In the continuation of the conversation, Kasua asked me, says Thomai, whether I was married or not and I told him that I married a girl from the village of Dhrovjan, but I regretted it, because my wife has a couple of her relatives who have escaped, as well as an aunt in prison.
As soon as Kasemi heard what I told him, he was surprised that I had such a big deal and immediately told me: are you upset about this?! Then he added that: those you have escaped, you do not consider them bad, and you consider them for good. Then I asked him if Kasua received letters from his cousin and he told me that: I did not, but Bajram Shuaipi wrote that he is in Belgium.
Below I told him that your village Markat, as far as I know, has many escapees, where in response, Kasua told me that: I don’t know which Markat you are talking about, that there are three Markats, one is the one who I live, one in Greece and the other in Borsh, where he wanted to say that there are so many in Markat now, there are fugitives in Greece and interned in Borsh, as well as prisoners.
Continuing the conversation, Kasua asked me if I ever watch TV or not and I told him that I watch very rarely, and that here I only have the Greek station. For this reason, Kasua told me that: the Greeks have good anchors and good music, while Tirana brings out that two-hour old man with a couplet and bores you, likewise, Kasua said, Yugoslavia also has very good programs. .
Regarding this person, i.e., about Kaso, Thomai says that I have known him since I was a soldier in Tirana, because we served in the army together, and I remember that even at that time, which was 1969, the month and date are no longer remember, he spoke to me with admiration about the escape of his cousin, Selfo and Bilal Xhafer and Bajram Shuaip.
Whereas from 1971, when we were doing operational work in the tunnels, Kasua did not work, but sabotaged these works and told us not to work, even the wagons he took out with soil, often fell back inside, as he took them out, without emptying or filling the wagon half full.
These behaviors of his, says Thomai, have caught my eye as bad behaviors and the expressions he has told me, as expressions that are against the government. Memorie.al
