Myrtezai was arrested by the UDB in 1952, after he was part of a secret organization called the ‘Albanian National-Democratic Organization’, and he was sentenced to seven years in political prison, which he served in the Nis prison and Idrizovo. Escape from Yugoslavia and coming to Albania, where after staying for some time in the internment camp in Seman of Fier, he was given the right to high school, graduating from the University of Tirana in Language and Literature, but after refusing the appointment in the city of Berat, in 1971, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in political prison, on charges of “agitation and propaganda”. Release from prison and leaving without work until the collapse of the communist regime and his appointment as Consul General of Albania in Switzerland, until 1993, and then his election as Honorary President of the Albanian League in the World, for the countries of Benelux, where he worked for the cause of Kosovo, until he passed away on December 11, 2020. He reports that recently Myrteza Bajraktari told him that: if you decide to go to Yugoslavia, I will give you some messages. He told her: “I have nothing to do here, we are living in a camp, and he has not yet prayed to return to Yugoslavia.” He told me a few days later that I had decided to return to Yugoslavia, so help me pray to the Interior Ministry. He said this in order for Myrtezai to have faith in the source, so Myrtezai prayed and gave it to the postman. He then told her that when she went there, she would meet Hasan Bllaca, who lives in Skopje. After meeting him, you will give him the slogan: “You are the nephew of Bajram Curri, because he means yes, then you will tell him that Bajram Curri’s great-grandson sent me”.
You will communicate that Myrtezai told me, that from Albania, do not expect any help for what we asked for, and I was put in the camp, but you contact West Germany, that it will help you. While in Yugoslavia the people have more freedom and economic prosperity than in Albania, because of the aid that America gives, which helps all the peoples of the world.
