Memorie.al publishes a voluminous archival file issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where there are hundreds of documents with the logo “Top secret” belonging to the former political prisoner, Xhavit Qesja, originally from the city of Kruja, whose family during the period of occupation of the country, 1939-1944, was closely associated with the Anti-Fascist Movement, being one of its main bases and made available all the wealth it had, as Xhavit was one of the first members of the Albanian Communist Party for the Kruja district, leading the Kruja-Ishëm partisan battalion and the 22nd Assault Brigade. Xhavit Qese’s political career after the end of the War, where he was appointed and served in senior positions in the Albanian Army, the apparatus of the Central Committee of the ALP, and several districts of the country, from where he was sent to study in the Soviet Union, where stayed until 1957, when he was announced to return to Albania urgently, after openly expressing his views in favor of the political line followed by the main Kremlin leader, Nikita Khrushchev, condemning the Stalin cult. Enver Hoxha’s conversation with Xhavit Qesen in his office in the Central Committee, where he sharply criticized him for the wrong views he had shown during his studies in Moscow, urging him to reflect and make self-criticism, but Xhavit rejected the suggestion of the first secretary of the Albanian Labor Party, which caused him to no longer be allowed to go to the Soviet Union to complete his studies, but to be sent to work as deputy chairman of the Elbasan Executive Committee, from where a year later, he was expelled from the Party and exiled to Zvërnec Island, where the communist regime kept isolated some of the former senior party and state cadres whom he had condemned for their anti-party views. Xhavit Qes’ long ordeal and persecution from 1957 to 1990, where he spent a full 32 years in prison and internment, being one of the few Burrel prison convicts to go on long hunger strikes in protest of the treatment and savage attitude of the communist regime of Enver Hoxha towards him. The complete form, investigative and judicial file in charge of Xhavit Qeses, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, which contains the documents of the former State Security that reflect the prosecution and wiretapping against him, the reports of Security collaborators with pseudonyms their correspondence with the letters he sent to the highest party and state instances, as well as the highest leaders of the ALP, until 1991 when he was released from prison!

During this time the following issues were discussed by the following persons:
Peço Fidhi, when Amali Dishnica came to the island, Peçua told Amalija, don’t worry, and stay calm: d.m.th. That Peçua did not say anything about Pëllumb Dishnica when he was called to Vlora. Amalia asked Peço if they had called him again, and Peçu replied that no, then they started speaking Greek and he did not understand.
Pecho Fidhi, while reading Comrade Khrushchev’s theses, said that Bulganini had also been in Malenkov’s anti-party group and had done well. Later, Peçua told Rasim Tahiri that: all the old people left and only comrades Mikoyan and Voroshilov remained. Mikoyan: – continued Peçua – does not wholeheartedly approve of this line of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, but does not show this.
Xhaferr Vokshi, commenting on “Zëri e Popullit”, where Gomulka spoke, Xhaferri said that: again Gomulka calls on the League of Yugoslav Communists and that Gomulka’s speech is soft and not like the attitude of the Albanian Labor Party that hit them hard. Heavy Yugoslavs, this says Xhaferi, I do not call right. Tue relied on Gomulka’s speech, Xhaferr Vokshi hopes that relations with Yugoslavia can be normalized and says: this is not known, this is politics?! Even in 1948, relations with Yugoslavia broke down and then began to normalize, as it can now. Peço Fidhi objected to this opinion, Xhaferri told him: they cannot be fixed again, while Rasim Tahiri sat and listened.
By Peço Fidhi and Pëllumb Dishnica, there is a lot of bad talk about the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Friendship Society with the Soviet Union, they say that these two countries have no job at all; the people who work here have fun, having dinners, waiting and escort. In this case, Luka objected to Gjovalin, telling you that: you despise the importance of the work of these two bodies, but Peçua and Pëllumbi did not agree with Gjovalin’s opinion.

During this time the following issues were discussed by the following persons:
Gjovalin Luka and Xhafer Vokshi have said that the treatment of the people of the South is better than that of those of the North. Southern friends do not let each other fall, but defend it. This policy is made by the Party today. Commenting on the newspaper that spoke about Yugoslav revisionism, on the people of Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro, Gjovalini told Xhaferi in the presence of Rasim Tahiri, that: The Albanian Labor Party today wants Kosovo to burn and suffer its people as the people of the North, that is, the people of Shkodra and its highlands, as they have many unemployed people and take them to Kosovo, just as people from the South lead them to Shkodra and misuse them. For this purpose, our Party wants Kosovo and its Kosovar people. These words of Gjovalint were also approved by Xhaferi.
Gjovalini says that even here on the island he is treated badly, when his wife comes he is checked, the children do not let me come, says Gjovalini, and he shows hatred for these behaviors, saying that they are not human at all.
Peço Fidhi, speaking about the decoration and the bust of the Minister of Defense of the Soviet Union, Malinovski, said: What if Malinovski makes a mistake in politics, will it be his bust again? Peço said this word in the presence of everyone, but did not receive any response from others.
Peço Fidhi, talking to Rasim Tahiri, told him again that he is angry with some people who are against the Party and on the other hand hold a position as if they are with the Party. As an example, he mentioned Gafurr Çuçi, who once said to Peço: “Keep your head up, do not worry”. This, says Peçua, Gafurri told me when I was convicted, while now, Gafurri spoke in Vlora at the youth meeting on Marxism and the Central Leninist Committee. Peçua says: These are not tolerated, they talk, not because they love the Party, but because they hide from the Party.
Peçua told Rasim Tahiri that at the Tirana Conference, he told Zihni Muço to discuss, but Zihniu responded, saying: discuss that you are not hit by the Party, that if we discuss the hit, not much effect. Peçua says that: both Gafurr Çuçi and Zihni Muço are deputy ministers. Peço Fidhi told Rasim that: for these people, I am ready to tell the Party, but I have nothing to do with Pëllumb Dishnica, because I talked to him many things and I talked to him more than Pëllumbi, therefore here Peçua is afraid that Pëllumbi would also denounce him.
Peçua also speaks badly about Qazim Vaqarri, who did not speak to Peço when he came to Fier on business. Regarding Qazim, Peçua says that: he has always been in opposition to the Party and today again Qazim is fine, as the Party does not know all of Qazim’s anti-party performances.
Peço Fidhi speaks very badly about the Tirana Conference and says that: those who discussed were adventurous communists, while those who rose up in Poland and Hungary, were brave communists.
Peço also says that Xhaferr Vokshi, when he was in Ballsh, sent a letter to Peço in Fier, through a Kosovar, with which Xhaferri asked Hulusi Spahiu where he was, but Peço did not reply.

During this time the following issues were discussed by the following persons:
Peço Fidhi, told Rasim that: people have behaved badly towards Peço and that has made him continue the anti-party path and become an enemy of the party, are comrades Pirro Gusho and Major Qemal Hysenaj, for whom Peçua shows the greatest hatred towards tire. Peçua says that in Fier they did not leave the place without exposing him as an anti-party, revisionist, they fired him that is why Peçua spoke and maintained a hostile attitude. But these words that he said to Rasim, he said that he will say them to Lieutenant Colonel Mit’hat Muços, in case he will be called to Vlora.
Peçua told Rasim that: Xhaferr Vokshi has been unhappy since he left Yugoslavia and came to Albania, they did not give him the place he deserved immediately, then he says that Xhaferri waited for me to call Comrade Enver and talk to him I ask him about Bije Vokshi, Xhaferri’s aunt, Peçua says: Xhaferri had these dissatisfactions and from the measures taken against Tuk Jakovë and Frano Jakovë, after the latter, they are baxhanaks.
Peço Fidhi, when he was called to Vlora on December 6, said to Gjovalin Luka: I was shocked after the confrontation and I was very scared. He says about Pëllumb Dishnica, that: he did not say anything in Tirana, only those who talked with Peço in Fier, but he does not say that Pecua what they thought with Pëllumb.
Peçua, talking to Rasim, says that he is afraid of confrontation, especially with Pëllumbi and on the other hand he says that no political trial should take place, therefore he is reluctant to denounce Pëllumbi, on the other hand he has his own fear that by denouncing Pëllumbi, denounces itself.
Gjovalin Luka, discusses and says that all the writers who are in Albania today, have not made any valuable novels and are not valid except for Shefqet Musaraj and Petro Marko, who has made the novel “Hasta la vista”. This opinion of Gjovalin was not supported by Peço Fidhi, while others did.
Gjovalini, Nuriu and Xhaviti, say that the houses that were built in Tirana, are big apartments like in Lana and Bulevard, are not worth it at all. Xhaferr Vokshi told Rasim that during his stay in Ballsh, Nuriu went to Xhaferri home every day and night, had lunch and dinner at Xhaferri’s house. They listened to the radio from 9 to 10 at night and talked to each other, but Xhaferri did not tell.
Xhavit Qesja, does not speak, but listens. His attitude towards the family is made in my opinion that he wants to keep his wife from being taken by the Party and on the other hand, he wants that by not having a relationship with his wife, the Party should not ask his wife what he knows about Xhavit. In this regard, I think the wife should know about Xhavit, so you should look into it.

During these days, no political issues have been discussed, but only on the summoning of Pëllumb Dishnica in Vlora and Peço Fidhi in Vlora. Regarding Pëllumbi, Peço told Rasim that Pëllumbi does not have much to do, as he did not say many things, and ended the conversation by talking about Peçua himself, who is heavier than Pëllumbi, but still, not even about Pëllumbi. Have facts to put us in jail. But Peço, the day they took Pëllumbi, was shocked that he thought that Peço would be called as well.
When Peçua and Xhaferri were called, everyone else was scared, but no slogan was spoken, except for what Peçua said when he prepared to go to Vlora.
Gjovalin Luka only says that we want to prepare a political trial and Peçua has started to expel people. Whereas Nuri Huta, during the days that Xhaferri was in Vlora, was alone and was scared to take Xhaferri, but when Xhaferri came, he was very happy and started to ask what they had told Xhaferri in Vlora. But Xhaferri replied that: you do not need anything for what I was told in Vlora. Xhaferri since he came from Vlora, young man upset and thinking, now there is no hope that he will be forgiven.
When Pëllumbi came from Vlora, he said that they did not ask him at all, but if they call me for the third time, it will be pepper work.
About holding Peço in Vlora for six days, Pëllumbi has started to be shocked and frightened again, while others say: how did he not come and will he come today, then when he does not come, will he come again the next day? And Gjovalini says: he has started to take it out and will put his friends and himself inside.
