Memorie.al publishes some archival documents issued by the Authority for the Information of the Files of the former State Security, where there is a voluminous file (the processing form file with 433 pages and the investigative and judicial file with 632 pages) in charge of Gjet Kadel, originating from the village of Bulshar in Oroshi of Mirdita and living in Bushnesh and Mamurras of Kurbin, former political prisoner in the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and his successor, Ramiz Alia, who spent 16 years in communist camps and prisons, as in Spaç, Burrel, etc. As we will see from the documents that are in the file in charge of Gjet Kadel, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, the surveillance and pursuit of him began in 1957, when he was 17 years old, with the information report of the State Security officer, Fahri Kraja, (based on the data of the Security associate with the nickname “Dylli i Bardhë”, with the approval of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kruja district, lieutenant colonel Muhedin Këxhalliu) , continued even during the period he was in camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, where after the revolt of May 1973, Gjeta was sentenced again, as he was the main ideator for raising the flag without the communist star, continuing then in the prison of Burrel, with the reports-information of the Operative Worker, Piro Nuredini, etc., about Gjeta’s conversations with other convicts of that prison, such as: Pjetër Arbnori, Daut Gumeni, Abdulla Sallaku, Spartak Ngjela, Avni Aliko, Luan Burimi , Çaush Çoku, Kapllan Resuli, Bardhosh Gjonzeneli, Bashkim Shehu, etc. The surveillance and follow-up of Gjet Kadel continued even after his release from prison in 1987, continuing until January 1991, with the collapse of the communist regime, when his file was finally closed and archived in the secret archive of the former State Security. In the same way, an important place in the said files is also occupied by letter correspondence of Gjeta and his family, with their father, Pjetër Kadeli, former soldier of the Monarchy of Zogu, who had blown up the prison cells of Internal Branch of Rrëshen on July 28, 1950, stayed for some time in the mountains on the run, and then in 1951, secretly returned to Mirdita, took his son, Gjoni, and escaped to Yugoslavia and then to the USA- es, where he stayed as a political emigrant, until the beginning of the 90s, when he returned permanently to Albania. During this period of almost 35 years since Gjet Kadeli has been followed and monitored by the State Security, a total of 33 associates of the State Security have been engaged and activated against him, who have given their reports, starting from “White Wax” in 1957, until the “Mountain Swallow” in 1990, which will be reflected in full, as they are in the relevant files.

One of the convicts said that we should notify the command about this matter, Gjete Kadeli, said: “These matters are not solved by notifying the command, but just as those 8 people of room 3/1 did, so let’s not go out in the open and not let’s take the bread. So, whoever wants to follow me?”
There were three or four of us of this opinion. The first was Luan Burimi, who shouted: “I agree”. Then Novruz Dorezi, Dalip Gaba and Njazi Dorezi accepted. This conversation was interrupted by Skënder Shatku, who said: “I am of the opinion that we should tell the commander before we strike.”
Today he came to the room, the book of the main leader of the Party “The Years of Childhood”, Daut Gumeni took it and to see it, these convicts gathered at Daut’s bed: Gjet Kadeli, Myftar Velia, Skënder Shatku and Petrit Paja. The book had the photograph from the life of the Party leader. As a result, this conversation was born:
Daut Gumeni said: “Just saw the photo of the leader of the Party, look who writes about Gjirokastra”!
When they saw the family photo, at the end of the book and the leader had written these words: “To live happily and to do a lot of child”, Gjet Kadeli said: “He himself is happy and gathered with his nephews and nieces, he even took in house and the son-in-law, but for us, he has divided us bit by bit, where the father is, the son is not found, he himself is happy, while we, No”.
And Daut Gumeni said: “He says to make a lot of child, so that he has as many work slaves as possible”.
Bebi Konomi said: “How many copies of the book have been published?”

Kaplan Resuli: “Yugoslavia wants to discredit these people, in front of the world opinion, for the terror and massacres they are doing to the people. Even these sometimes say and write about the massacres in Kosovo. The main leader, they cursed Tito, that Tito was loved by all the leaders of the world, even when he died, they came to his funeral. Who loves this main leader? Who comes to visit? Who invites him to visit? No one comes and no one invites him, only a few hours come here, like Zhao Amazona and Fasko Dinuçi. Even an ordinary convicted of rape, like Ernest Aust, now doesn’t come like he used to. So goes the proverb of the people: “We say, “Who cares, I’ll tell you who you are”! Daut Gumeni said: “The government is letting the son of Asim Aliko die in the dungeon, who shed blood for the main leader of the Party. They are letting the son of Beqir Balluk, who has shed blood and sweat for the main leader of the Party, die in the dungeon. Our people say a proverb that when a pig is angry, it eats its own young. Even this one, which I cannot mention the name of, as Tomor Allajbeu said that, you have no idea where to get hold of this Party, that it started in the 44th and is ending in the 84th, killing, at first the nationalists and when these were finished, he started killing the communists, in each five-year plan, he kills 10 people, his comrades who have fought together, some day when he returns to those who are left. Gjet Kadeli, as always, said: “He is the father of the main leader of the Party and not ours. The dog praises the dog.”
While Bebi, who is afraid, said to Gjeta: “I don’t know what the main leader of the Party has, that he doesn’t come into my work at all.”

…. He announces that for now no one is talking in the room, they have calmed down, they are waiting for release; but except for Gjet Kadeli and Dali Gaba, who can’t stop talking. Last night, when the Minister of Internal Affairs was speaking in Skrapar, when he was reading the greeting of the main leader of the Party, Gjeta said: “When the main leader of the Party, yours for life, says, he intends to arrest 10-15 people from Skrapar”!

He announces that today 11.4.1984, in the morning, the radio announced about the armed conflict between the Chinese and Vietnam. As a result, this conversation took place.
Gget Kadeli said: “Marx and Engelsi’s daughters have started beating each other.”
Daut Gumeni said: “I heard it. They have it as a sport between them”.
Çaush Çoku said: “What do you do, China is not in the place of Greece, because now Chinese would be spoken in Tirana, they didn’t let the main leader of the Party tell stories to his friends, it’s been 7 years”.
With this statement of Luan, the conversation ended.
