ON THE PROCESSING OF TUK JAKOVA
As we have risen in the report sent no. A 428 / Res personal, dated 1.10.1955, for the processing of Tuk Jakova, we have taken a series of measures by surrounding it with agency.
From the agency we have listed in the above report, have received regular contacts with him, B.p. “Vigilance” and “Nuredini”, to whom Tuku has begun to speak and to some extent trusts, while the agent “Maja e Leklit” and B.p. “Luarasi”, who live in one of the rooms of the building where Tuku also lives, have frequent contacts with him, because Tuku also goes to their room to play chess with them, but so far, he has not started ‘talk about something important, but talk about simple issues, such as sports, etc.
From the elaboration I have done so far, we have the following data about it:
From the postal control, it turns out that in a letter that Tuku wrote to Frano Jakova in Gramsh, among other things, he said:
Here in Berat I run a carpenter’s workshop with a gross salary of 4,500 ALL per month. I have not forgotten the craft and I am able to run this workshop.
It continues: With the house we are settled and live in two rooms 4 x 3 and a small kitchen, which does not bother me and Nita (for his wife). Speaking about the expulsion of his wife from the Party, he says: “Even Nita (Dhimitra) was expelled from the Party and now we are a man and a woman without a party. You Frano, do not worry but stay like men, as befits communists, I call myself a communist without a party and I work conscientiously as I have always worked, I serve the people as best you can because that is the goal of every communist honest.
Closing the letter, Tuku concludes with these words: Kiss the children for me and tell you that; my uncle wants me to see you in Tirana, where you always went as soon as possible.
On October 14, 1955, Tuku received the answer to the letter from Frano Jakova. The latter in his letter, talking to them about living conditions, says among other things: Almost we live in the same conditions, except you are in the city and I in the village. We used to live in a restaurant, a room that reminded me of Tepelena, we entered there temporarily, but there were no signs of leaving it, until we took an energetic and diplomatic measure, which forced the country’s leadership to settle me here where am I.
Speaking about the way of life, Franua, says: “We do not have a bad life, it is dedicated to work, or rather to say the craft of Mary, my salary is enough to get food, pay the state loan, any debts of the advances withdrawn on the occasion of the transfer from Tirana and the rent of the house with lights, then fell on the karadyzen. I feel a little sorry for the children, but tekembramja, let it be taught with deprivations, that life is long and not always a flower square. There is a good one who has understood the situation and is used to this condition.
Speaking about his work, Franoja continues: “I am a salesman in the ‘Reciprocal’ department, where I try to serve the people as best I can. I am satisfied that the people are satisfied with our work; they speak with sympathy for my honesty and the good treatment I give you. The directorate thanked me for my work; awarded me two distinctions and this month rewarded me with 1,000 lek. This seems to me like a children’s game, which turns out to be a distinguished, nonsensical salesman.
This distinction is dear to me; it shows my honesty towards the issue and my determination to serve this issue in every circumstance. I never shy away from this issue and I have the strength, patience and courage to continue to serve my whole life in this right. He continues: “Mita was also expelled from the Party. For me it was not something unexpected, I knew that even unfair statements about the work of the organization, will not escape.
I for vedi, I have not made any appeal. Coming to Gramsh helped me; I know life well and live closer to children and family. These are the people with whom I spend more time, at the same time reading fiction, I can say, that I have finished reading a volume.
Since Tuku, as noted above, has begun to think that he is controlled by the Security organs, we think to say that; surveillance apparatus when Tuku or his wife come to Tirana, to be directed against them with great care, that there is a risk that he understands the pursuit that is done to him.
We base this issue on the fact that he himself told B.p. “Nuredin”, in the city “Stalin” that the Security controls me, that the government wants to know what I do. We will inform you about the news that will come out about it in the future.
