Memorie.al publishes a voluminous archival file issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where there are hundreds of documents with the logo “Top secret” belonging to the former political prisoner, Xhavit Qesja, originally from the city of Kruja, whose family during the period of occupation of the country, 1939-1944, was closely associated with the Anti-Fascist Movement, being one of its main bases and made available all the wealth it had, as Xhavit was one of the first members of the Albanian Communist Party for the Kruja district, leading the Kruja-Ishëm partisan battalion and the 22nd Assault Brigade. Xhavit Qese’s political career after the end of the War, where he was appointed and served in senior positions in the Albanian Army, the apparatus of the Central Committee of the ALP, and several districts of the country, from where he was sent to study in the Soviet Union, where stayed until 1957, when he was announced to return to Albania urgently, after openly expressing his views in favor of the political line being pursued by the main Kremlin leader, Nikita Khrushchev, condemning the Stalin cult. Enver Hoxha’s conversation with Xhavit Qesen in his office in the Central Committee, where he sharply criticized him for the wrong views he had expressed during his studies in Moscow, urging him to reflect and make self-criticism, but Xhavit rejected the suggestion of the first secretary of the Albanian Labor Party, which caused him to no longer be allowed to go to the Soviet Union to complete his studies, but to be sent to work as deputy chairman of the Elbasan Executive Committee, from where a year later, he was expelled from the Party and exiled to Zvërnec Island, where the communist regime kept isolated some of the former senior party and state cadres whom he had condemned for their anti-party views. Xhavit Qesva’s long ordeal and persecution from 1957 to 1990, where he spent a full 32 years in prison and internment, being one of the few convicts in Burrell Prison who went on long hunger strikes in protest of the treatment and savage attitude that the communist regime of Enver Hoxha was holding towards him. The complete form, investigative and judicial file in charge of Xhavit Qeses, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, which contains the documents of the former State Security that reflect the prosecution and wiretapping against him, the reports of Security collaborators with pseudonyms their correspondence with the letters he sent to the highest party and state instances, as well as the highest leaders of the ALP, until 1991 when he was released from prison!

ON THE OBSERVATION OF THE XHAVIT OBJECT, THE BAG WHICH WILL BE OWNED BY US WITH THE NAME OF “GORILLA”
First day Date 21.1.1987. At 11.30 am, the observation begins, waiting for the object to leave his house, or for other persons to enter the object’s house.
At 20.00 ‘it can be seen from the house of the building, comes out Rruzhdi Qesja, who lives in the neighborhood Nr. 11, Street “I. Qemali ”Nr. 73, it is seen that Rruzhdi’s other brother, Besim Qesja, who lives in the neighborhood no. 11, street “I. Qemali ”No.75, and how they join at the bus station, that both board the bus line Shijak – Durrës, and in time leave from here in the direction of Durrës and Ora. 20.25 ‘, that both get off the bus in front of the Palace of Sports and cross on foot in the street of “Dëshmorët”, “A. Day Two Date 22/1/1987. At 9.00 ‘, the observation begins, waiting for the entry or exit of different persons in the house of the object.
At 12.15 ‘, it is seen that his brother, Besim Qesja, leaves the house of the building, together with his wife, Natyre Qesja, and they both cross in different directions, in the city of Shijak.
At 12.40 ‘it is seen that Nature Qesja together with her child, leave the house of the facility and go and stay at the bus station, after 0.5 min. they board the bus of the line Shijak – Durrës, leave in the direction of the city of Durrës, and at 12.50 ‘, Nature gets off the bus on Rruga e “Dëshmorët” and crosses it on foot, on the road B. Çelmeta ”, returns to the street“ I. Qemali ”, enters her house no. 75, in the neighborhood no. II. After this hour the observation is interrupted.
Day Three Date 23.1.1987. At 7.00 ‘the observation started, in the direction of the house of the object, waiting for the entry or exit of different persons.
At 8.50 ‘it is seen that the object leaves the house together with Besimi’s wife, Natyre Qesja, who was holding the object by the arm and both of them cross the main boulevard of Shijak, and at 8.55’ he enters the police post. At 9.05 ‘the building together with Nature, leave the police post and at 9.10’ enter the house of the building.
At 20.30 it is seen from the house of the object, a woman about 50-55 years old, long dressed in black, comes out, as well as another person, who accompanies the woman to the bus, where the woman leaves by bus, for in the direction of Durrës, while the person goes and enters the house of the object again.
Until 22.30 ‘that I continue the observation waiting for the person to leave the house of the object, the person was not seen to come out. After this hour, our observation ceases.
Note: 1. The woman was not taken for certification, because it was expected that from the house of the facility, a person aged about 30 years would come out, with some books in hand, this by order of the Operational Sector.
Fourth day Date 25.1.1987. At 7.00 ‘, the observation begins, waiting for the entry or exit of different persons in the house of the object.
At 9.00 ‘it is seen that the object together with Besimi’s wife, Natyra, who was holding it by the arm, leave the house after 0.5 min. go and get into the police post. After 0.5 min. they get out of here and make their way through the streets of Shijak, and at 10.00 ‘they enter the house of the facility.
At 11.50 ‘it is seen that Besim Qesja enters the house of the building.
At 12.10 ‘it can be seen from the house of the building, comes Besimi together with a woman around 45-47 years old, with average body, wearing a beige coat, short hair on the shoulder, fat and both continue walking through the streets of Shijak and go and enter the house of Irfan Deliallis, living in the palace opposite the police post.
At 13.00 ‘it is seen that Besimi together with the woman described above, enters again in the house of the object.
At 17.30 ‘it can be seen that three people leave the house of the building, with these characteristics, one aged around 50-55 years, in a cap, wearing terry trousers, gray color, with a large coat “Gup” black color, tall about 1. 60 cm., second aged about 32-33 years old, hair falling forward, wearing beige overcoat, brown territorial pants, tall about 1. 70 cm, while third person aged about 22-23 years old, who was carrying a large bundle in his hands, wearing a blue golf jacket, with a brown checkered jacket, brown velvet pants, about 1. 70cm long.
At 17.40 ‘all three board the bus line Shijak – Durrës, and in time leave here and at 18.00’ all three get off the bus on the road “Dëshmorët”, return to Rruga e B. Çelmeta ”, I. Qemali ”in the neighborhood no. II and at 18.10 ‘they enter the apartment No.73, where Rruzhdi Qesja lives.
Until 21.00 ‘, when the surveillance continued, waiting for three people to leave Rruzhdi’s house, the persons were not seen leaving, after this hour the surveillance is interrupted.

On dt. 23.1.1987, around 19.00 ‘, Muharrem Rrugia, a pensioner, living in the neighborhood no. 4 Durrës, his son-in-law Ruzhdi Qesja, a teacher in Rashbull and living in the neighborhood No.11, as well as Muharrem’s son, Pacific Road, with mechanical work in the Export Park. I was at the neighbor at this time and the boy informs me that people have come.
After I met him and greeted him, Muharrem told me that we had come for trouble; we want to consult with you, about a problem. I tell you what trouble do you have?. Ruzhdiu intervened and said: “Two days ago my brother was released from prison and they brought him to Shijak, you should know”.
I replied that I did not know anything, as I now deal with the problems of the Party organizations and do not deal with the affairs of the Security, but who is the brother?
Ruzhdiu said: “it is Xhavit Qesja”. I told him I heard his name, but now I know that you have a brother. But how many years has he served in prison and why was he sentenced? – Ruzhdiu said that “he has spent over 20 years in prison.
He has been the first secretary in several districts and has been convicted of conspiracy. I have not kept any connection with him and in fact the Party has rewarded us, as it made me with higher education, I am a teacher and who has not mentioned this to us ever.
I wanted to consult what attitude I should take, as my mother who has been with me constantly and who are 90 and some years old has also gone there.
I went and took the spring to my mother in Shijak, because she had nowhere to sleep. “We thought that the Ministry of Internal Affairs brought Xhavit to Shijak, to be close to his people and to help him.”
I said to Ruzhdi: “I, like Zyhdi, intend to maintain the attitude you have held before. “You have a brother and I do as you please, but he has not been convicted of an ordinary crime and you support him.” Here Muharrem intervened and said: “He has opposed power.”
I continued: “You can tell the old woman, stay with Xhavit, stay with me. The Ministry of Interior did not bring him to Shijak. “What did they say to him when they brought him?”
Ruzhdiu replied “They told him that for every move and departure from Shijak, you have to get permission”. That means he is interned – I told him, and the internments are done by a government commission.
Muharrem and Ruzhdi continued to ask me: “Why did they bring him to Shijak and not take him to another place”?! I told them: “There are other internees in Shijak”. Muharrem asked again: “Why were there others in Shijak?”
Yes – I said and continued: “You Ruzhdi have a brother, but in such cases, the brother is separated from the brother, the father from the son and the wife from the husband.”
That’s right – they both said. I asked him: “Yes, he was married, he has a wife and children, where are they”? Muharrem said yes, he was married (he also told me the name I think Naide had), he also has two children, both with higher education, the woman is a 1941 communist and is a delegate to Congress.
Yes, they have divided Xhavit…! I was told to consult with you once, said Muharremi, as Ruzhdiu had to go to the Branch to consult about this.
I told him: “You Ruzhdi are an adult and judge for yourself, do as you wish.” At this time my wife intervened and asked Ruzhdi how old his brother was.
Ruzhdiu tells him that he is 67 years old. The woman tells him that you should also look to the future of your children. Ruzhdiu says: “That’s right; I love children in the first place.”
