Memorie.al publishes a voluminous archival file issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where there are hundreds of documents with the logo “Top secret” belonging to the former political prisoner, Xhavit Qesja, originally from the city of Kruja, whose family during the period of occupation of the country, 1939-1944, was closely associated with the Anti-Fascist Movement, being one of its main bases and made available all the wealth it had, as Xhavit was one of the first members of the Albanian Communist Party for the Kruja district, leading the Kruja-Ishëm partisan battalion and the 22nd Assault Brigade. Xhavit Qese’s political career after the end of the War, where he was appointed and served in senior positions in the Albanian Army, the apparatus of the Central Committee of the ALP, and several districts of the country, from where he was sent to study in the Soviet Union, where stayed until 1957, when he was announced to return to Albania urgently, after openly expressing his views in favor of the political line being pursued by the main Kremlin leader, Nikita Khrushchev, condemning the Stalin cult. Enver Hoxha’s conversation with Xhavit Qesen in his office in the Central Committee, where he sharply criticized him for the wrong views he had expressed during his studies in Moscow, urging him to reflect and make self-criticism, but Xhavit rejected the suggestion of the first secretary of the Albanian Labor Party, which caused him to no longer be allowed to go to the Soviet Union to complete his studies, but to be sent to work as deputy chairman of the Elbasan Executive Committee, from where a year later, he was expelled from the Party and exiled to Zvërnec Island, where the communist regime kept isolated some of the former senior party and state cadres whom he had condemned for their anti-party views. Xhavit Qesva’s long ordeal and persecution from 1957 to 1990, where he spent a full 32 years in prison and internment, being one of the few convicts in Burrell Prison who went on long hunger strikes in protest of the treatment and savage attitude that the communist regime of Enver Hoxha was holding towards him. The complete form, investigative and judicial file in charge of Xhavit Qeses, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, which contains the documents of the former State Security that reflect the prosecution and wiretapping against him, the reports of Security collaborators with pseudonyms their correspondence with the letters he sent to the highest party and state instances, as well as the highest leaders of the ALP, until 1991 when he was released from prison!

Regarding what Xhavit Qesja brought from the hospital briefly, “Albanian-Chinese relations are not what the press reflects, there are great divergences between the two courses, that of Chu En Lait and Enver Hoxha. Chu En Lai stated to the Albanian Labor Party that the Chinese do not approve of the foreign policy course followed by the ALP, describing it as a rigid, sectarian course, and in terms of domestic policy, the Communist Party Chinese, does not approve of the way the notion of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat in Albania is conceived and implemented. The Chinese insist that Albanians reflect on these, especially in terms of establishing close relations and creating in the Balkans the triangle: Bucharest – Tirana – Belgrade.
In other news, the Chinese have purchased a number of supersonic jet aircraft in the United States and sent 58 Chinese pilot instructors there for training.

Regarding the source of information that Xhaviti received in the hospital, the latter did not say anything concrete to him, but in the conversation, right after he returned from the hospital, Xhaviti said that while passing from one ward to another, he fell to live with Ylli Tabaku, a political prisoner, who was also here in Burrel, with a 16-year-old boy from Tepelena, who had been put in prison, because he had kissed his ex-fiancée in the middle of the yard, when this had begun to cool with him, the former political prisoner released in 1968, but who had been arrested again and was in the investigator for guilt _______________, Ramadan Muça from Vlora (he gave it to Ben’s sister), with a young convict, why he had eaten the money stolen from two saleswomen who had both ___________ at the same time. From these we mentioned, the most probable informant must have been Ylli Tabaku, who, staying for several months in a row in the hospital with (______________________), had contacts with a large number of prisoners and especially pre-detainees who brought news of fresh. Ramadan Muça, who had not even been arrested for a month, must have supplied him with news heard on Radio-Television. Even the young man from Tirana may have supplied it.
In addition to what he reported to you, he recalled that Xhavit had learned the same sources of information and figures and data on the development of industrial production in the Soviet Union and the USA, for the main voices, to the point of absurdity (Eg. The Soviet Union last year produced 240 million tons of steel, another 190 million televisions, with an annual increase of approximately 2-3 million.
The same goes for steel. At the same time he had learned that Yugoslavia, with the help of West German scientists, was working to produce the atomic bomb (hence Bonn’s Interior Minister went to Yugoslavia), to discuss measures to secure these scientists and some other curiosity.
Saying that this information, Xheviti talked to them, Maqo Çomon, Bardhyl Belishova and Bedri Spahiu, and no one else, are instructing them not to tell others. The informants told Xhavit: that they heard this news from foreign shows on Western Radios, including news on Albanian-Chinese relations. Xhavit was in the hospital from April 4, until June 6, 1973.

That Xhavit Qesja, convicted of hostile anti-party activities, with Albanian nationality and citizenship.
Xhaviti was convicted of the crime of agitation against the party and being in the conditions of serving the sentence; he was re-convicted again in 1967 and finally sentenced to 17 years and 2 months, imprisonment.
Xhavi was serving his sentence in Ward 307 Tepelena and in August 1972; he came to ward 321 in Burrel.
During his stay in this ward, he maintained a bad attitude, he spoke out against the decisions of the party, saying that: Albanian-Chinese relations are not what the press reflects, that between the two courses, there are great divergences, as far as In terms of domestic politics, the Chinese Communist Party does not approve of the way the notion of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat in Albania is conceived and implemented.
Also regarding the measures taken by the Party against foreign influences, it was stated that the measures taken, on the one hand, enjoy, because they will increase the resistance in the ranks of youth and intelligence and will accelerate the day when it will begin to react actively to the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.

Given his hostile stance, which has opposed our Party, its revolutionary line and our socialist construction in Albania, is against the leadership of the party, is a supporter of revisionist policy and at all times, tries to express views his hostility to other elements, which is also confirmed by the data we have in his charge.
From these data, as well as others, it is completely clear that Xhavit, even in the conditions of serving his sentence, is determined in his hostile views, against the party and the People’s Power.
