Memorie.al publishes some archival documents with the logo “Top secret” recently issued by the Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana and the Central State Archive, which belong to a period of time from (1969-1991), where there is a correspondence between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Central Committee of the ALP and some of the Albanian diplomatic missions accredited in the West, such as Rome, Paris, etc., with telegrams, reports, reports, information, ordinances, diplomatic notes, invitations, articles world press newspapers, leaflets, photographs, etc., where it is about Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the famous Charity and Saint of Albanian origin, Gonxhe Bojaxhi, winner of several international awards, such as: “Padmashir”, and “Nehru “, by the Indian government in 1963 and 1972,” Magnasia “by the Philippine government which also proclaimed her” The Deserved Woman of Asia “, some peace awards from the US,” Golden Ambrogino “from Milan,” Universal Mother “in 1974 from cent emigrant orientation, and the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize. Calvary of Mother Teresa since 1969, who through French and Italian diplomatic channels, asked official Tirana to come to Albania, to her homeland, to visit her mother, Roza Bojaxhi, who at that time was 86 years old. year old and sick, as well as her sister, Age, who lived in Tirana. All the complete documentation (already declassified), extracted from the archives of the Albanian state, is made public for the first time by Memorie.al, where light is shed on all the charitable activity of the famous Saint, in aid of the poor in all over the world and her extraordinary desire to help her compatriots in communist Albania, as well as the total silence of official Tirana and the high communist leadership of that time, led by Ramiz Alia and Nexhmije Hoxha, who under different pretexts , Prevented her arrival in Albania and allowed it only in 1989, thanks to great international pressure!
Although all over the world she was known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the famous Charity and Saint Gonxhe Bojaxhi, winner of several international awards and the ‘Nobel’ Prize for Peace in 1979, never hid her Albanian origin, even by requested since 1969, through French, Italian, etc. diplomatic channels, (where the top diplomats of these two countries were engaged), to visit her mother and sister living in Tirana.
But despite the constant request to visit her homeland, then and then engaged some of the leading diplomats of these two Western countries with whom official Tirana had diplomatic relations, the communist regime of Enver Hoxha, did not allow it at all to come and see her mother who was in the last moments of life and Age Bojaxhi, passed away with the great hostage who could not see once again her daughter, Gonxhen, whom he had not seen , since she was a child, time when she had left home to become a nun.
But even after that, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, as she was known all over the world because of her charitable missions to help the poor and needy wherever they were, in all corners of the globe, not only did not got angry with those who did not allow her to see her mother, before she passed away, but instead, prayed for them and I keep asking tirelessly, for years, that she come one day to the birthplace of the first of her, even to put a bouquet of flowers on the grave of her mother and sister, who had already passed away.
But her demands, for two decades (from 1969 to 1989), were rejected on the most absurd pretexts by the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and then his successors, Ramiz Alia and Nexhmije Hoxha, who looked after her and the people who accompanied her: a “Vatican agent”, etc.!
Regarding these as well as all her ordeal of more than two decades to come to Albania, where she thought to open Charities, as she had done in different parts of the world, as well as the real reason why Ramiz Alia and Nexhmije Hoxha, decided to accept it in 1989, when she first came to her homeland, it is mentioned in many archival documents, where there is a correspondence between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana with the Central Committee of the ALP and some of the Albanian diplomatic missions accredited in the West, such as Rome, Paris, etc., with telegrams, reports, reports, information, ordinances, diplomatic notes, invitations, articles of world press newspapers, magazines, leaflets, photographs, etc. ., etc., which are published for the first time by Memorie.al., in the historical dossier section, starting from this number.

Report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana to the Central Committee of the ALP, regarding the requests of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Albanian Embassy in Rome, to complete the proposals of Mother Teresa
I n f o r m a t i o n
As it is known, on November 28, Grafini, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, De Michelis, called our ambassador in Rome and presented the following:
- He proposed that, together with Mother Teresa’s sisters, a priest come to Albania to serve them. This proposal is made at the request of the Vatican Foreign Minister, given to De Michelis.
- Grafini informed that the office of the cultural attaché of their embassy in Tirana, will be given for use to 6 Popaj, since they are close. In this context, he stressed that this is necessary since it would not be good for Popaj to be in difficult conditions, at the time of their departure from Albania, which would be realized with the intervention of the Red Cross and in the presence of Western and Italian representations.
From the above meeting it is clear that the Italian side considers finished, the placement of the group of Mother Teresa’s sisters here, or wants to finalize that the Vatican, to send to Albania a representative, in the role of priest to serve motrave. In this way, indirectly the Vatican seeks to establish relations with our country.
Secondly, the Italian side, following the conversation of Minister Ruggero, with his friend Reiz Malile, again lays down the departure of 6 Popaj from Albania with an international intervention. Which shows that they consider it non-existent, that a solution has been found between the two parties. Regarding the above, we think that our ambassador in Rome, should meet with Grafini and tell him the following:
- I was informed in Tirana about the issue of the mission of Mother Teresa’s sisters and it turns out that it was not accepted by us and it was not decided with Mother Teresa that her sisters open a ‘Charity House’ here. So, the Vatican’s request for sending the priest remains without object, without mentioning here that Albania has no connection with the Vatican.
- As for the regulation of the 6 Popes, inside the headquarters of the Italian embassy, this is an internal matter of theirs. But in the conversation with you, on November 28, we were drawn to the proposal to resolve the Popaj issue, through international intervention, the Red Cross and in the presence of Western and Italian representatives. This solution has already been overcome because, as you know, the Italian proposal was not accepted and that their problem was solved through the conversation of Prof. Lazri with Andreotti, when the latter was Minister of Foreign Affairs. We are waiting for the realization of this solution. This was emphasized in the conversation of Minister Ruxhero with our Foreign Minister in Tirana and in the conversation I had with Mr. Pikoli, in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament.
At the end of the conversation, our ambassador to emphasize the position of our government, for the development of friendly relations and cooperation with Italy.

Report-information of diplomat Vladimir Pulaj at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana, sent to the Central Committee of the ALP, regarding the Vatican’s requests to enter into contacts with official Tirana
I n f o r m a t i o n
Recently, there has been a great activation of Vatican diplomacy towards our country. His nuns, in different countries but also friends and acquaintances, have spoken to our diplomats abroad, about the satisfaction expressed by the Holy See, regarding the allowed exercise of religious faith in our country and the desire to establish relations diplomatic relations with Albania.
In the conditions when our country has taken important decisions, in terms of respect for human rights and religion, it has already started to be exercised. But at the same time, and in the context of the efforts that are being made by us, to be accepted with full rights in the CSCE, and to establish diplomatic relations with the TPE, the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Holy See, will have a very effect positive, in the international community and the governments of many countries, given the Vatican’s influence over them.
Such a step would also serve to show that our country is deeply engaged in the process of democratization of the country and that thus, we take away from our hands a very strong weapon to some foreign circles, which we are using against our country.
Regarding the above, we think that our ambassadors in Athens and Algeria should contact the nuns of the Vatican these days and in the ongoing conversation, let them know that we would welcome their request to establish diplomatic relations with the country ours.
