Memorie.al publishes an archival document with the initials “Top secret” issued by the Central State Archive in Tirana (fund of the former Central Committee of the ALP), which belongs to 1963 where there is a report-information of the first secretary of the Tirana District Party Committee, Rrapo Dervishi, sent to the secretary of the Central Committee of the ALP, Rita Marko, for the reports that have come to him from the State Security, regarding the “hostile activity” in Tirana, where according to the information of given by the Party member, Myfit Mushi, employee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana, Minushe D., secretary of the basic organization of the School Party “Emin Duraku” and Esat R., a person with mental problems, it is known that The well-known composer, Abdulla Grimci, has kept in his house the book of geography where among the many photos was that of Hurshov with Liri Belishova, where they came out laying the first stone in the foundations of the Palace of Culture in Tirana.
The breakdown of relations with the Soviet Union and other countries of Eastern Europe or as they were called at the time “People’s Democracies”, did not pass easily and without consequences for the communist regime of Tirana and personally Enver Hoxha himself?! On the contrary, the separation from the great ally lost its orientation and caused a kind of panic to the top communist leadership of Tirana, so much so that for a while, Enver Hoxha could not decide on the political course he would follow, which led to a some mitigation of the “class war” as well as the great repression that the communist regime of Tirana had started with its coming to power in November 1944. In this context of the development of events of that time, it turns out that in 1961- In 1962, those who came from “inverted classes” or “reactionary families” as the regime in power considered its political opponents were given the right to attend high school (mainly at night, without dismissal and by correspondence) , throughout the period of its existence, 1944-1991. But although during this period of time, ie 1961-’62, the communist regime had some mitigation of repression and class war, there were arrests and convictions for “crimes against the state” (mainly attempts to escape), but these in a much more limited number than the next period, before and after it. But this softening was not to last long, because at the very beginning of 1963, the communist regime made the policy of “class war” much tougher, even harsher than it had been before. This apparently came from a kind of panic or confusion to say that he had seized the top communist leadership of Tirana and Enver Hoxha himself, after the breakdown of relations with official Moscow.
This, among other things, is made known by a large number of archival documents found in the Central State Archive (fund of the former Central Committee of the ALP), where the Committee of the Party of Tirana, constantly informed the Central Committee, regarding “hostile activities” and other things of this nature that took place in Tirana. This repression with surveillance, wiretapping, checks, arrests, internments and convictions, could not escape at all, the intelligence of Tirana and mainly the creative one with writers and artists, to whom the sensitivity of the competent bodies (State Security) was quite large. This, among other things, is made known by this archival document that is published in the pages of this book, where the State Security organs have “spotted” the well-known composer, Abdulla Grimci, who was well known at the time, because, had just organized the first Song Festival on Radio Tirana and also conducted the Radio Tirana Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Grimci was seen by the communist regime as a “bourgeois intellectual” because he graduated in Italy, where he married the Italian addition, Clementina Agostini. And in this context, the surveillance of Grimc had started only for the simple fact that in his house, he had kept a book of geography, where among many photos, was that of Khrushchev and Liri Belishova (member of the Politburo and secretary of The Central Committee of the ALP, newly dismissed from all functions), where they had come out together with Enver Hoxha and other leaders, during the ceremony of laying the first stone in the foundations of the Palace of Culture in Tirana. The letter of Rrapo Dervishi, which Memorie.al publishes in full and with the relevant facsimiles, was first sent to Rita Markos, (secretary of the Central Committee of the ALP that then covered the organs of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat), and then Enver himself Hoxha and other secretaries of the Central Committee.
