Memorie.al publishes two rare photos belonging to April 6, 1946, when the Prime Minister of the Albanian government of that time, Colonel-General, Enver Hoxha, accompanied by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General, Koci Xoxe and The Director of the Political Directorate at the Ministry of Defense, Major General Kristo Themelko, gives the “blessing” to the captain of the football team “Partizani”, Rexhep Spahiu, in the first match they would play in the National Championship with the uniform and name of new, because until that time that team was called “Army”. The photos were taken in an improvised tribune in front of the building of the central building of the University of Tirana, which at that time was the building of the Ministry of National Defense, where the founding ceremony of the Football Club “Partizani” took place.
