This is stated, among other things, in a highly secret State Security document dated March 3, 1987, where the entire conversation of Kadri Hazbi’s second son, Agron, with one of his workmates in Kurbnesh is revealed of the district of Mirdita, where they were both interned and all that conversation between them was then sent to Ramiz Ali.
As we will see from the document in question, which is part of a voluminous file that was extracted from the Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, (now part of the Authority for the Information of Files of the former State Security), in charge of to the former Minister of the Interior, Kadri Hazbiu and his family, in addition to Agron Hazbiu’s conversations with his friend (A.M.), who has declared everything in detail to the Department of Internal Affairs of the district of Mirdita, part of the voluminous file, are also many reports and secret information with denunciations and interceptions against the Hazbiu family, which begin in October 1982, and end at the beginning of 1991.
The struggle of Enver’s closest collaborators in the high leadership of the party and the state at that time, among others, is also known from this archival document that we are publishing today in the first part of this file (which will last in ten issues ), where Agron Hazbiu, or as he is otherwise known as Agron Dautaj, (former football player of the “Dinamo” team, has confirmed to his close friends, A.M., regarding the broken engagement between his brother, Petr Hazbiu (graduated as an architect) and Enver’s daughter (also an architect), since the beginning of the 70s, which came after the intervention of Ramiz Ali and Nexhmije Hoxha.
And only 15 months later, Agron Hazbiu was found dead in the copper mine in Kurbnesh, where according to the official version, he had committed suicide by tying dynamite to his body. But was it really a suicide, or did the State Security carry out Ramiz Ali’s order (written in his own hand: “…To act”), being afraid of the son of Kadri Hazbiu, who except once in 1982, he wanted to grab the machine gun, in defense of his father, but even in exile, in a moment of anger, he even expressed himself about throwing dynamite at someone…!
Regarding this and others, we will be familiar with a number of archival documents extracted from the voluminous file in charge of former Interior Minister Kadri Hazbiu and his family, which will be published by Memorie.al.

I, Operative Worker, Sazan Tare, of the crime investigation sector, today, 27.5.1983, met with the former colleague “Pisha”, of the crime investigation sector, whose name is Ndue P…, working in the mine of Kurbnesh, who told me that: I work in a shift and on a work front with Gjon M…., from the village of Kurbnesh, who has been convicted twice for the theft of socialist property and civic property and in conversation, John told me that; I took Agron Hazbiu, (who also works together with him in the mine), his sports kit.
Gjoni has entered several times into conversations with Agroni and Petrit Hazbiu. Note: Former B.p. “Pisha”, was ordered to clarify who were the present workers, when Gjoni said that; I got a sports suit from Agron Hazbiu, who has seen and heard that Gjoni entered into conversations with them. It was also ordered that, since John told him; come see the clocks at home, I was told to go to John’s house and see what time they are, how much and where he got them, how much they sell for and if he sold other clocks and who he sold them to.

The source announces that, on 31.5.1983, and continuing during the month of May, he saw the children of Kadri Hazbi. On 2.6.1983, the son of the enemy of the Party, Kadri Hazbiu, Agron Hazbiu, who was exiled in the city of Kurbnesh, came to the city of Rrëshen to see the son of Elena Hazbiu and the two children of Mimoza Hazbiu, whom he took from the city of Rrëshen, Elena and Petrit Hazbiu, on 25.5.1983.
In order to record his movements and contacts, both on the way from the city of Kurbnesh, to the city of Rreshen and on the way back, this day Agron Hazbiu was taken under surveillance by the Operative Worker of the Kurbnesh area, Mihal Monka, and the Operative Worker of the area Center, Ylli Tabaku, former B.p. (……..) of Kurbnesh area.
From his surveillance, it was determined that Agron Hazbiu left the bus line at 8 o’clock from the city of Kurbnesh, on the way he sat on a seat with Elena’s son, 17 years old, and a girl about 7 years old, and 1 boy about 5 years old, from Mimoza Hazbiu (Arianitasi), and at 10:15, got off the bus near P.T. Rrëshen, where Agron Arianitas was waiting for them, where the latter met Agron Hazbiu, they stayed for about 3-4 minutes and parted ways.
Agron Arianitas, took the three children and passed along the road in front of the Executive Committee, in front of the city cinema and entered the house of Medi Çollak. Agron Hazbiu, crossed the street, in front of the Tourism Hotel, between the Palace of Culture and the Branch Club and presented himself to the guard officer, from there he entered the city pharmacy, where he stayed for about 20-30 minutes, took some medicine, after finished work, passed in front of the Palace of Culture, the cinema, and went around 11 o’clock, near the house where Medi Çollaku (Elena Hazbiu’s husband) lives, and after a while, the children of Agron Aranitasi’s sisters came down, they stayed talking around 10 minutes, they stayed and then they hugged and parted.
Agron Aranitasi with the children entered the house of Medi Çollak and Agron Hazbiu, around 11.00, passed in front of the cinema, the city square, took a newspaper from the city bookstore, passed along the way in front of Hotel Turizmit, PT., and entered the fruit and vegetable store, where he bought some vegetables and around 11.50, he left the store, passed by the breakfast room, the Palace of Culture and presented himself to the guard officer of the D.P.Br., saying that; I’m leaving for Kurbnesh, he passed by the Palace of Culture, the hotel, PT., the Municipal Enterprise on the way, he stopped at the old Agency, to find a car. Around 12:35 p.m., the bus to Kurbnesh arrived and Agron Hazbiu got on it.
Other suspicious contacts, from our side, were not fixed.

The source announces that on 5/5/1983, around 5:00 p.m., in the room of Ndue Lleshi from the village of Mërkurth, a worker in a copper mine in Kurbnesh, they were resting together with Nduje and, among other things, Nduja told him that, one day we were resting at the end of dysentery No. 8., me, Luigj Gjini, Agron Hazbiu and some other workers. ON THE REALIZATION OF THE TASKS OF THE APPENDIX OF THE MEASURES PLAN DT. 11.5.1983, FOR AGRON HAZBIU OBJECT
The tasks raised for the control and processing of the object in advance, Agron Hazbiu, in the above plan, have been carried out as follows:
- In his direction, B.p. “Jupiter”, the tasks given by us, have not been carried out, because for this period, he left the city of Kurbnesh and there was no possibility of contact.
- The persons defined in point 2 of the plan have been studied, they are suitable to be used for operational purposes, they inform about each contact his movements, things of operational interest, they have not ascertained.
- They were kept under surveillance and it did not turn out that they had contact with suspicious persons and with Arben Koço Theodhosin.
- Task No. 4 has been accomplished, Luigj Gjini and Martin Merdhoçi were kept close, they explained that with Agron Hazbiu, they only talked about sports problems, anything of operational interest, they did not inform.
