Memorie.al/publishes for the first time, the photos of the building of the headquarters of the Albanian Embassy in the capital of France, Paris, which would serve as one of the main and most important diplomatic residences of official Tirana, in Western Europe.
Located on Rue De La Pompe, in the area with no. 16 of Paris, this building in the years 1945 – 1991 would be at the same time one of the centers of the Third Directorate of State Security (Political Intelligence), which in addition to the state to which it was attached, would cover several places by the residence other European countries, such as Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, etc.
One of the main tasks during the 47 years of its existence during the ‘Cold War’ period, would be the surveillance and attempts to infiltrate the ranks of the Albanian anti-communist political emigration to France and Belgium.
Some of the most famous exponents of this directorate who would serve disguised as diplomats in this embassy, were: Llambi Peçini, Hasan Luçi, Myslym Sinojmeri, Labo Abazi, Servet Backa, Thoma Bano, Idajet Hoxha, Naim Çipi, Eqerem Gaxholli, Haxhi Taga, etc./Memorie.al
