On 14 / X / 1958, around 14:00, in the bedroom, the convicts Bedri Spahiu, Tuk Jakova, Ymer Ndroqi and Qemal Balili were talking about the Party’s policy during the War. Tuku and Bedriu praised this war, but for the work of the Party today, they do not call it right, where Bedriu said that the prisons today are full and are severely punished, suffer from food and serious diseases and do not measures are taken for the people. At this time, Qamil Balili says that; all convicts today are seriously ill and this has come from the tortures they have been subjected to, in prisons and at work.
Bedri and Tuk often read the newspaper; both of them meet face to face and read it very slowly.
On 18 / X / 1958, Kiço Kane came to the room and after greeting them started talking. Kiço Kane told Bedri and Tuk that; We used to have a prison operative, whose name is Hysen Haxhija and he had the rank of captain and he started to show them the characteristics of Hysen, at this time, Ymer Ndroqi and Qemal Balili approved of Kiço’s words with signs, playing with his head. At this time Bedriu said that; such a man with these characteristics you tell me, I have had him in the dungeon long enough; but he told me that I was working on a farm.
Yes and Tuku said that I had it for some time and I played dominoes and he told me, that; I was working at the “Enver Plant”, but with a different name. Then Bedri said; however I have not talked to him about anything. On the same date, Kiço Kane told you that; my mother informed me at the meeting that my father, who is in America, had left to come to Albania, while Bedriu told him; do not worry, as soon as you go to Durrës, they will rent it from the money.
A few days ago, a pair of clothes came to Bedri from home, but he became very revolted and started swearing that they were the oldest, saying that there were no laws to confiscate a single coat and a radio, the People’s Assembly has clarified in the law, that only surplus items are seized”.

On 24 / X / 1958, in the bedroom, around 4 pm, the convicts Tuk Jakova, Ymer Ndroqi, Bedri Spahiu and Qamil Balili were reading and commenting on the newspaper, on the events in Taiwan and on Dalles’s departure there. The source heard that Tuk Jakova, among other things, said: “For now, there is no war as long as the Americans arm Japan, the Chinese and Dalles today bring each other, with apples, after no one can hold it to light it.”
Also on October 26, the above persons talking, Bedri Spahiu said that; what I said to them, I do not understand why they keep us more isolated, they have nothing to do with me anymore. At this time the convict Qemal Balili, told Bedri the story of prisons and labor camps, where prisoners were tortured and died in large numbers, from torture and starvation.
At this time, Bedriu said that; we did not know these things and now you are surprising us. Then they connected the conversation with the convict named Llesh, who appeared in court and his request for release was rejected. “Look, said Bedriu, Lleshi is 80 years old and they do not release him, what harm this will bring to them”.

OPERATIVE NOTE
From the study of the letter dated 5/1/1959, that Dhimitra Jakova sent to Tuk Jakova in prison, it was seen that in a part of it he expressed in this way:
“I spent New Year’s Eve 1959 with the children. During this dinner, the children called you several times – Babi- babi- come on and then we wished each other that next year we would have Dad among us.
The children slept at 9:30 ‘, and I stayed until 10:30 thinking about you. I wanted to write to you in this case, but being caught by the (sentimental) moment I decided not to write, as I might have made a mistake and disappointed you. I usually save myself from these cases, in order not to fall into mistakes and therefore I do not write in such moments… ”!

OPERATIVE NOTE
Today, on 24 / VI / 1959, I attended the meeting that the prisoner Tuk Jakova had, with his wife Mita Jakova and with his mother Çile Jakova. Mita had three children with her, after being asked about her health, Tuku asked her to kiss the children: Which was not allowed by the prison guards, he addressed me: To address that friend of the Ministry, he told me, I I said that I could not interfere in the prison regulations, if Mita had asked us to do so before, we could have talked to the Ministry.
At this time, Tuku revolted and said that nowhere in the world, this does not happen, not even in the time of fascism did they behave like this; which means that man should not be allowed to meet his children either. I will probably do 20 years in prison and 20 years, I will not be allowed to meet the children? The children started crying and Tuku told you; does not despair, for the time will come for me to embrace you, and repeat this two or three times.
Mita intervened and said: you seem to be not nervous, the other time I found you calmer; it does not make you talk like that. Tuku replied: This is a humanitarian right and I am rightly angry, it was not like that even under fascism, and today under socialism, meeting with children is forbidden, we fought for 20 years to be here.
Mita told him that he had brought some food, as he could not get more, Tuku continued: You see the children that I will live, here they give us a soup of water, enough to keep the soul alive, but I will be held, I will eat the soil with my teeth and I will be held.
Then Tuku said that they always keep us locked inside and only bag us two hours a day, once they do not take us out at all; from this, I am not even in good health, I suffer from constipation. But we are still good, like the parasites we are, the genes feed us well, if they had put us to work, we would have been better, but they keep us locked up, as you can see in the bars.
Mita asked him what he did with the proposal, Tuku replied that he has not received an answer yet, he wrote to comrade Mehmet, but he has not received an answer. Then conversations about family matters continued. Tuku asked Mita if she went to Durrës to her mother, she replied that she did not go, that there was no opportunity, I sent the boy to take the old woman, to come to you, but she did not come, no I know why.
Tuku asked him where Philip was, what he was doing, they had taken him out of the house, whether Philip and François had written letters to him, and he ordered me to write to them, not to be afraid and they should write. Then Mita asked him if the newspaper was coming and he said that he had subscribed.
Tuku addressed me: Please talk to the Ministry about this issue (to be allowed to meet with the children), well for the woman you doubt, that I will not exchange any sign, but from meeting the children, there will be nothing wrong. Mita told him that the friends of the Ministry have helped me, whenever I wanted they allowed me to come and allowed me to meet always, but do not worry, because maybe this will be fixed as well.
Mita begged us to let her meet Tuk in case the old woman came. Tuku said that once she had come, she was not allowed to meet, as her friend from the Ministry was missing.
After Mita and the children left, we talked to Tuk and instructed him not to have such conversations, he said that I was a little annoyed by the children and please fix this, if they ever come again; and of the food I spoke to you as it is.
The meeting with the old woman took place two hours later; the old woman was accompanied by Tuk’s eldest son. Tuku asked her about Filip, is the pickaxe arm working, she told him that she works as a boss in the Brick factory and the woman has been hired recently. He asked; have you been kicked out of the house, no said the old woman we are very well.
Tuku spoke to her why do not you write a letter to Mitas and Franos, tell Philip to write to you, do not be afraid, that it is not forbidden; I cannot write to you, because I have only one letter in 15 days and then I must not write to Mita.
The old woman said why we should be afraid, the Party is ours, and these are our boys. “Not my old woman,” said Tuku, “you and I had another consideration before, and we are considered different now, both you and me; but do not worry, it will be time to see you again.
Tuku then told him that Franua writes to him and tells him where to fix the economy, with chickens and pigs. Oh! Said the old woman, idle work them, I do not need them, I think of your heads, that you are suffering and that we parted alive. Kola – said the old woman – abandoned us at all, but he is not guilty, he does not have a good wife, she has followed Mita and does not love us.
The old woman told him that she brought him 500 ALL, that she did not know what to buy, he asked her to send some coal, that she needed it to cook the dish.
The meeting with the old woman ended with some of her jokes, which she told; we came and he did not rent us, nor did he take us for lunch, etc. Tuku told him again, that; the time will come to stay together, but do not worry./Memorie.al
