Memorie.al publishes rare photos dating back to 1936, when Enver Hoxha was a member of the ” Djelmëria Gjirokastre” delegation that went to Shkodra district to retrieve the remains of two prominent patriots, Çerçiz Topulli and Muço Qulli, who after were exhumed from the field, sent to City Hall, to hold occasional ceremonies and funeral processions with speeches by some personalities, such as Pat Anton Harapi, Ernest Koliqi, etc.
A rare high-quality photo taken by the famous Marubis of Shkodra, stored for more than eight decades in the personal archive of Hasan Dosti, the jurist who took Enver as part of that delegation and gave him to read his speech by the balcony of the building of the Municipality of Shkodra.
How did Enver Hoxha pose in that picture alongside Hasan Dosti, his younger son, 6-year-old Tomorri, and all the personalities of that time who were part of that delegation, such as, Javer Bey Hurshiti, Zenel Prodani, Daut Çarçani, Thoma Papapano, Beso Gega, Gjush Sheldija, Nazmi Lumani, etc., who would later erase everyone from that photo and story, retouching and leaving them alone few, such as Hasan Dost’s 6-year-old son Tomorrin, now 90, who, after 84 years of publicizing his rare testimony, that Enver Hoxha read his father’s speech, Hasan, who a few years later he would hold the post of Minister of Justice in the government of Mustafa Kruja, and as the top exponent of the nationalist organization Balli National, he would be elected Chairman of the Committee on National Defense at the Mukje Conference, and in 1944, fled Albania to escape the revenge of Enver Hoxha, whose wife, Nexhmije Xhuglini, had held for nearly seven years at his home in Tirana as a classmate with his daughter, Shannon, at F Institute. The mother, “Nana the Queen” and where as a “reward,” he and Nexhmija imprisoned and exiled for 47 years the seven children (four sons and three daughters) whose Germans had killed their mother and uncle on 16 November 1944.
