Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where is the voluminous file (forms, investigative and judicial), of Myrteza Bajraktari originating from Gostivar, who after finishing school high school in the city of Tetovo, in 1952, began his higher studies at the University of Skopje, in the branch of Philosophy, where in addition to teaching he was employed as a journalist in the newspaper “Flaka e Vllaznimit” published in Skopje, from where he was fired soon after, he published an article where he was openly against the displacement of Yugoslav Albanians to Turkey and as a result, he was appointed as a teacher in the 7-year school “Shaban Zeneli” in Kumanovo. Myrtezai was arrested by the UDB in 1952, after he was part of a secret organization called the ‘Albanian National-Democratic Organization’, and he was sentenced to seven years in political prison, which he served in the Nis prison and Idrizovo. Escape from Yugoslavia and coming to Albania, where after staying for some time in the internment camp in Seman of Fier, he was given the right to high school, graduating from the University of Tirana in Language and Literature, but after refusing the appointment in the city of Berat, in 1971, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in political prison, on charges of “agitation and propaganda”. His release from prison left him without a job until the fall of the communist regime and his appointment as Consul General of Albania in Switzerland, until 1993, as well as his election as Honorary President of the Albanian League in the World, for the countries of Benelux, where he worked for the cause of Kosovo, until he passed away on December 11, 2020. He reports that on Thursday, he goes to visit the house of Myrteza Bajraktari, where he finds a person named Henrik, 35 years old, who had a bag full and closed, and both had served him brandy.
During the conversation, it was learned that Myrteza’s friend was working in a military unit. By 22 o’clock, Henry, got up and left.
During the conversation with him Myrtezai, told him that; when he was visiting his sister told him that they would sell the house for 30,000,000 dinars and the vineyard for 7,000,000 dinars. Myrteza’s part in the form of a will was mailed to our embassy in Belgrade, through his brother, Xhemal Bajraktari, a retired colonel.
Before Myrtezai can get his belongings, he goes to the park and drives a car with Ohrid license plates. He asks the driver if he had brought his belongings and when he answers yes, then they leave for Myrteza’s house. Then two or three people from the customs came there and told him that he would pay only 20 lekë as a discharge tax.
Myrtezai said that he did not know the driver because he was from Dibra, with the surname Fishta and had been in Tirana about 200-300 meters, from Myrtezai’s house. This driver earlier, after loading cement and bricks, while this time, after loading loot for me, he said.
This driver, my people escorted him to the border. The groom says Myrtezai, works in the newspaper “Flaka e Vëllazërimit”, while the sister works in the newspaper “Fatosi dhe Gëzimi”, which is published in Skopje. He did not mention the other sister.
As for his brother Xhemalin, Myrtezai said that; the Yugoslavs offered him a post, chief of army for minorities, but he objected, telling you that; There should be no army for the minorities, but for the nationalities, as the Albanians are, more in number, in relation to the Macedonians.
So he invented report after report, until he retired. Xhemali, according to Myrtezai, has done many schools, faculties and has excelled, but has not been given the place he deserves. He also made the Albanian-Turkish dictionary.
Xhemali thankfully he says, he is not defiled towards the Albanians, while towards the Slavs, he can do whatever he wants. The important thing is that in both Albania and Kosovo, no one can say bad words about him.
Xhemali is married to a Croat and has three daughters. One works as a lecturer at the University of Belgrade, the other as a teacher in a gymnasium in Belgrade, while the latter is a chemist and married to a Bosniak.
None does not know Albanian. Myrtezai told him that it was very difficult for him, staying without work for three years, and at some moments he even asked for a weapon, to kill himself and the children, as the content was impossible.
Two people called him in the Directorate of Tirana and told him that; could not work in education as, had been in prison. Myrtezai had told them that he was not fit for physical work because his hand was half paralyzed in the prisons of Yugoslavia.
For this, his comrades had ordered him to talk to him and told him to go to the staff of the Executive Committee.

Excerpted from the letter of the III Directorate with No. 1243 dated 9.9.1976, which refers to Myrteza Barjaktari.
From the conversations and contacts that comrade Jorgaq Mihali had with Myrteza Bajraktari’s brother, it results:
- When the sister had returned from our country, among other things she had said that; “Myrtezai is out of work and lives with his mother-in-law. So he is also homeless. He is also ill. I take the opportunity,” said Xhemal Bajraktari, I asked my sister if her brother was hesitant or not to stay in Albania, she had talked to her brother and he had told her that: he would stay in R.P.SH.
- Afterwards, Xhemali went to the representation again and asked for a document to be given to him by our customs, in order to pass without customs and without any control, the part of the property that belonged to Myrteza. When Comrade Jorgaq told him that the embassy did not issue such a document, but that he should write to the Central Customs Directorate in Tirana, he withdrew.
- On March 25, 1975, our embassy in Belgrade, receives the request of the relatives of Myrteza Bajraktari, who has legalized the document related to his inheritance.
The letter was signed by the Deputy Director of the III Directorate, Comrade Haki Keta.

OPERATIVE NOTE
On August 30, 1976, I, Kiço Petro, and the Management Officer of the 1st Branch, Qezap Agolli, met with Myrteza Bajraktar, to respond to a letter he had addressed to his fellow minister, to help him. to get to work.
On the part of Comrade Qezap, he told you that: there is no job in education, or in administration, because now there are cuts, and secondly, in education, you cannot work, for the very fact that you have been in prison.
Myrtezai told him: I have been out of work for three years, I was made to do hara-kiri, I have no bread to eat, that my imprisonment was unjust, since I am innocent and the people who denounced me, did it on purpose, to make us hostile to power, etc.
In general, he was and is removed as very revolted, which he told you: do not say these words to us, and in the end we told him to go to power once again to solve his plight, after he told us that : I’m sick and can no longer work manual labor.
On August 30, 1976, Myrteza Bajraktari came and asked for another meeting, where he told us that: I went to the Chief of Staff of the Executive Committee of the district, who told him: we should find a job in the administration, but our friends should tell us The Directorate of Internal Affairs and on this occasion, begged us to intervene to put him to work. He said that he had gone to the Ministry and met with his friend Qezap Agolli, who sent me to you.
Note:
As things stand, I think the most reasonable way is to intervene in the Executive Committee to put him to work, which will remove some doubts.
In these conditions, there can be no problem of his transfer, that he will surely react and start again making letters upwards.

Kosovar emigrant Myrteza Bajraktari, living in Tirana, was convicted with the group of Kapllan Resuli, a few months ago he went to the house of Estref Kelmendi, with whom he has sister sisters, and said: I have been and I am a patriot, I have left on the streets without work, economically I am bad.
Some friends, such as Agim Gjakova, Gani Demiri, Selim Kelmendi (Kruja), etc., have issued me a statement, how they know me, with which he will address the state, to put me at work. For this I came to ask you for a statement, you read these two statements, of Gani Demir and Selim Kelmendi.
Estrefi says that he has read these two statements, but for his part he has issued a very short statement, where he confirms, not his patriotism, but the difficult economic situation and the need to put him to work. At the same time, says Estrefi, I forbade him to enter and leave the family for his person and his wife (…………………………).
Rating:
The data is reliable. It has operational value for the fact that behind the issued statements, for the “patriotism” of Myrteza Bajraktari, stands Agim Gjakova and his hostile work, which, on the one hand, brought out such dissatisfaction and incitement, on the other hand, aims to compromise the element of sound, while self-hiding. In fact, Agimi himself has not issued such a statement, although this is what Estrefi was told by Myrteza.

The source informs that: today, on 14.3.1977, around 10.00, he had a chance meeting with Myrteza Bajraktari, with whom, after greeting him, they went to the cafe at the Palace of Culture and talked. During the conversations, Myrtezai began to complain that he had lost his job, as did he and his wife.
“I,” said Myrtezai, “wrote a letter to the main leader and his wife, among other things, asking for their innocence, for the prison I had done, they gave me a negative answer, and that my sentence, according to them, was fair.” , after being tried with three witnesses whom I did not know. Later I addressed you and the Minister of Internal Affairs, but with what I met, he told me; to work on the farm, because I had done prison”.
He said: “These are your faults, so you have nothing to do; you have to lower your head and work, just like me.” I have a friend and I want the best so to speak. Myrtezai said: I am very upset and I have finally decided to ask for the abolition of citizenship and to seek refuge in Yugoslavia, I have not told anyone this, except you and Ahmet Sadiku.
He said: You told me that in Yugoslavia, you were in prison for seven years and that the Yugoslavs tortured you and now you want to wear it again?! Myrtezai said: It’s the same, I was in prison here too, at least there I have brothers. He said: What guarantee do you have that you will return and do nothing? Myrtezai replied: About 240 thousand political emigrants have been repatriated to Yugoslavia and they will not do anything to me, even more, they will tell me that: here is where the one who fought for Kosovo and Albania returned, they introduced him in prison and we are now holding him, then, I also have the older retired brother, who has been Vice-Admiral in the Navy.
Myrtezai went on to talk about Zef Malë, describing him as a patriot who fought for the unification of Kosovo with Albania, but now this government did not support Kosovo, now the Yugoslav government has taken the Yugoslavs for granted, despite the fact that this is the trick of Tito, who went to visit every village in Kosovo and now Kosovars are angry against Albania. He told him: that the truth is that this government has done its best for the rapprochement of Kosovo, many of those who have finished school here and have come out, but the people of Kosovo did not do what they should!
Myrtezai said: Kosovo did not help you and now it is treated badly, for example, I was also called a Serb agent, but it is my own fault, because I did not work well from the beginning, I had given them a couple persons in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, fishes or cash on hand, as Agim Gjakova did, and they would have arranged for me, after they ate the fishes. In the end, Myrtezai said to him: Let us go from home and show the things that have come to me from Yugoslavia.
