Memorie.al publishes archival documents labeled “secret” taken from the Central State Archive in Tirana (the fund of the former PPSh Central Committee), which belong to the year 1977, where there are several relations and reports-information, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, bearing the signature of Deputy Minister Xenofon Nushi, sent to the Foreign Relations sector of the PPS Central Committee apparatus, where he informs the leaders of that sector about the event that happened in April of 1977, where a group of researchers and historians from the Institute of History, near the Academy of Sciences of the People’s Socialist Republic of Albania, as Prof. Selami Pulaha, Zija Shkodra, Luan Malltezi, etc., who had gone to Pristina for archival research, during their trip through several cities of Yugoslavia at that time, such as Zare and Dubrovnik, had slept in a hotel room with the University lecturer of Pristina, Bedrush Shehu, who was the companion of the group that came from Albania.

After the return from Yugoslavia of the group of the Institute of History that had gone there for archival research in Pristina, Zare and Dubrovnik, on April 8 we called the head of the aforementioned group, Comrade Selami Pulaha, deputy director of the Institute of History, to the ministry and asked him for an explanation. for the fact that the member of this group, Luan Malltezi, during his stay in Yugoslavia, slept in a hotel room together with a foreign citizen.
Comrade Selami affirmed that it is true that Luan Malltezi, during his stay in Zare and Dubrovnik, slept in a room with the companion of the group, Bedrush Shehu, a lecturer at the University of Pristina.
When asked how they allowed such a thing, when the rules of staying abroad were made clear many times, Comrade Selami answered that it was difficult for hotel rooms, that although they raised the problem, they did not insist many feet, so as not to make more claims, that the hotel was full of tourists and foreign sailors, and that under such conditions, they have estimated that it would be better for one of them to sleep with Bedrushi, than in a separate room.
About the person of Bedrush, he said that he has always been correct and that he does not harass, that the top part of the Kosovar intelligentsia does not like him, which is why he opposes them in many cases.
He said that Bedrushi had accompanied them to the same places before and a few years ago, the former member of the group, friend Zihni Haskaj, today our ambassador in Austria, slept in the same room with him.
To the question why they did not inform about this fact, he answered that they did not say anything and that only those who were there know this.
He said that Bedrushi has been in Albania and that he has some relatives in Durrës, whom he met when he was here. Luan Malltezi is also from Durrës.
Comrade Selami said that Luani, about sleeping with Bedrushi, informed his friend Simon Qirici as soon as he returned.
For the above, we think that the friends Selami Pulaha, Luan Malltezi and Zija Shkodra of this group acted badly, allowing one of them to sleep for a period of 10-12 days with a stranger, without the need for a thing such and without being authorized, breaking all the rules of vigilance, as well as the instructions given before departure for relations with the Yugoslavs.
We are referring the matter to the Academy of Sciences for follow-up.

Regarding what is said about Comrade Zihni Haskaj, ambassador to the Republic of Austria, that during the time he was serving in Yugoslavia in 1973, in the city of Sarajevo he slept in a room with the Yugoslav F. Mehdiu, recently when he was in Tirana, asked him to clarify the above.
According to his statements, it turns out that it is true that during his service in 1973 in that city, together with his friends Kristaq Prifti and Selami Pulaha, because there were no seats in the hotel, he slept in a room with him the aforementioned for 3-4 nights and as soon as there were free places, he moved to a separate room.
In the written information that Zihniu submitted on this matter, he states that they informed their friends from the embassy in Belgrade, Jorgaq Mihali and Bido Mehmeti, about their condition and arrangement in the hotel, when they went to visit them in Sarajevo.
