Memorie.al publishes some rare photos with images of some of the main cities of Kosovo, such as: Prishtina, Prizren, Peja, Gjakova, Mitrovica, Ferizaj, etc., which belongs to a period of time, from 1878 to 1942. The earliest photo is that of Prizren in 1878, where some of the main leaders of the League of Prizren posed, such as: Ali Pashë Gucija, Ymer Prizreni, Abdyl Frashëri, Sulejman Vokshi, Mic Sokoli, etc., accompanied by delegates and other participants of that historical event, as well as armed guards, city dwellers, etc. Three other photos show the city of Gjakova, the first in 1916, showing Bulgarian military troops posing on artillery cannons pulled from carts taken from locals, in the next photo showing stone bridges with arches in the center of the city and in the background, the minaret of the great mosque, while in the third photo belonging to 1942, are fixed images of the Independence Day, on November 28, where the city leadership accompanied by local officials, military and residents dressed in national costumes, etc. In two other photos, the center of the city of Peja is seen, where the meeting of the Albanian League of Peja was held. Two photos show the city of Mitrovica, showing its main buildings and streets, such as the Municipality building, with armed police guarding it, etc. In the other two photos, you can see the city of Prishtina, and that of Ferizaj, where they stand out: the train station, the train carriages on the iron rails, the warehouses, as well as the buildings and houses of the city on both sides of the railway, etc.
