Memorie.al publishes a rare postcard produced in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, in 1977, where as its image, the picture of socialist realism was selected, “The crash of the enemy plane” by the famous painter Xenophon Dilo, which was exhibited at the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana and was discovered by chance, during a tour he made a few years later, in several western countries, the State Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances, from Tirana and the soloist of that ensemble, Burhan Spahija, bought it and sent it to the famous painter who at that time worked as a scenographer at the Opera and Ballet Theater, wishing him a Happy New Year 1984. After the 90s, the painting by the painter Dilo, “The crash of the enemy plane” would attract the attention of The coach of the England national football team, Bobby Robson, when he came to the helm of his team, for a match with the Albanian national team and during his visit to the National Gallery of Art, he was “taken” after her and initially koi if she could buy it, but when this wish was not fulfilled, she asked if she could meet its author, with whom she took a picture in front of the painting. Along with this photo and the rare postcard which is published for the first time exclusively by Memorie.al, we are publishing two other photos of the master of painting, Xenophon Dilo, where he appeared in the former Soviet Union, in 1958, during the filming of the Albanian film “Furtuna”, with the main character of this film, the Russian Ariadna Shengellaja, (in the role of Zana), where he was the painter of the film, as well as another photo with his friend, Dritëro Agolli, former President of the League of Writers and Artists of Albania./Memorie.al
