Memorie.al publishes some archival documents issued by the Authority for the Information of the Files of the former State Security, where there is a voluminous file (the processing form file with 433 pages and the investigative and judicial file with 632 pages) in charge of Gjet Kadel, originating from the village of Bulshar in Oroshi of Mirdita and living in Bushnesh and Mamurras of Kurbin, former political prisoner in the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and his successor, Ramiz Alia, who spent 16 years in communist camps and prisons, as in Spaç, Burrel, etc. As we will see from the documents that are in the file in charge of Gjet Kadel, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, the surveillance and pursuit of him began in 1957, when he was 17 years old, with the information report of the State Security officer, Fahri Kraja, (based on the data of the Security associate with the nickname “Dylli i Bardhë”, with the approval of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kruja district, lieutenant colonel Muhedin Këxhalliu) , continued even during the period he was in camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, where after the revolt of May 1973, Gjeta was sentenced again, as he was the main ideator for raising the flag without the communist star, continuing then in the prison of Burrel, with the reports-information of the Operative Worker, Piro Nuredini, etc., about Gjeta’s conversations with other convicts of that prison, such as: Pjetër Arbnori, Daut Gumeni, Abdulla Sallaku, Spartak Ngjela, Avni Aliko, Luan Burimi , Çaush Çoku, Kapllan Resuli, B come Gjonzeneli, Bashkim Shehu, etc. The surveillance and follow-up of Gjet Kadel continued even after his release from prison in 1987, continuing until January 1991, with the collapse of the communist regime, when his file was finally closed and archived in the secret archive of the former State Security. In the same way, an important place in the said files is also occupied by letter correspondence of Gjeta and his family, with their father, Pjetër Kadeli, former soldier of the Monarchy of Zogu, who had blown up the prison cells of Internal Branch of Rrëshen on July 28, 1950, stayed for some time in the mountains on the run, and then in 1951, secretly returned to Mirdita, took his son, Gjoni, and escaped to Yugoslavia and then to the USA- es, where he stayed as a political emigrant, until the beginning of the 90s, when he returned permanently to Albania. During this period of almost 35 years since Gjet Kadeli has been followed and monitored by the State Security, a total of 33 associates of the State Security have been engaged and activated against him, who have given their reports, starting from “White Wax” in 1957, until the “Mountain Swallow” in 1990, which will be reflected in full, as they are in the relevant files.

RECORDS
(OF RE-QUESTION SW TW THE DEFENDANT GJET KADELI)
In the city of Kruja, today on 10.VIII.1972, I, Ramiz Lalzi, deputy head of the Internal Department of the district of Kruja, in charge of the investigation, interrogated the defendant Gjet Kadeli, in accordance with the procedural rules.
THE QUESTION STARTED AT 10.00
AND IT FINISHED AT 2:50 PM
QUESTION: Talk to the defendant about your hostile activity that you are accused of.
ANSWER: I have nothing to say about the charge I have been accused of, as I have not engaged in hostile activities against the people’s government. Regarding any other violations of the law, I can say these things: As far as I can remember, from the end of 1969, or the beginning of 1970, I carried modified cartridges for the “Parabel” pistol, on two occasions, a total of 12 piece, Ramazan Elez Demës, from the village of Bushnesh in our district.
The day before the cooperative, I saw Ramazan a pistol and asked him where he got this “Parabel”? He told me that this year I got it, with the intervention of Sadri Zima, and after that they told me, are you ready to give me some pellets? At first I didn’t want to do it, but then, my mind was full and I told him that I will do it. He gave me cartridges on two occasions, once five and once six, to modify and I took them with me to my house, to fit the caliber of “Parabel”.
I worked and modified them at my house, without economic benefits, and after adapting them, I gave them to God. I didn’t take the revolver when I modified the cartridges, as I had an original cartridge, which I got from the person who had the revolver. I did the modification in my house with a file and a hacksaw. Lima is common, ace of limes, I have enough at home. To make the modification, I cut the thin part on the side of the bullet with a hacksaw, which I threw down and kept the end part, together with the capsule, to modify it.
After some time that I modified Ramadan, I was caught by Nikoll Lala in Mamurras, who is a school principal in Bushnesh and told me that I ran out of cartridges that I only have seven pieces that I have in the magazine. He told me that; can you give me some cartridges and I asked him for what gun. He answered me about “Beret” caliber 9 mm. I told Nikol Llala that such a thing is against the legal rules and I’m afraid, that’s why I can’t do it anymore. He told me that no one can take it from me anymore, and then I agreed to do it.
Nikola gave me an original cartridge of 9 mm caliber and it seems to me 15 pieces of the Soviet pistol, to modify the “Bereta”. He gave me the cartridges another day of the conversation and he only came home and gave them to me. I modified all these cartridges and gave them to him after 10-15 days, when Nikola came and took part himself at my house. Nikola wanted to give me 20 ALL, but I refused to take it. After receiving the cartridges that day, I had the opportunity to travel with Nikolla, from the center of Mamurras, to the offices of Spërdheti Cooperative, and together with Nikolla, we fell under the Drojë Bridge.
There, Nikola and I, in order to test the modified cartridges, put a piece of paper on the shingle from a gravel pit and added one time with a pistol, Nikola and I. Later, Nikoll Lala tells me that; I exchanged pistols with Mustafa Gjeli and I asked him what revolver. Nikola answered me that; I gave him “Parabel” and took “Valter”. It seems to me that “Valteri” has the same caliber as “Parabel”. He told me that; make me some “Valteri” cartridges. For this work, it seems that Nikola gave me 9 or 10 pieces of old cartridges, the brand of which I do not know, and the Soviet cartridges, to make the modification.
The old cartridges had the same width as the original Valter cartridges, while they were longer in length. The bullets had almost the same shape as “Valter”, but with a slightly thicker tip. I modified it and gave it to you, but I want to add that the work was done without economic benefits. Nikoll Lala, again he tells me about Ndue Kaçorri, who is my friend, who has the revolver with cartridges, you have it too. I asked him who this is and Nikola told me that he is Ndue Kaçorri and told me that he made bullets for me.
After a few days, Ndue Kacorri himself caught me in the center of Mamurras and told me that I have a word. I asked him that; what do you mean and he answered me that the conversation Nikoll Lala told you. I told him do you have them with you and he replied that I had them in my bag and took out and gave me 2 or 4 pieces of Soviet pistol cartridges. I modified these for the “Bereta” of caliber 7. After 10 or 15 days, I gave them to the center of Mamurras, again Ndues, when he was separated from some of his friends.
In May, I don’t remember the date, of this year; I went to Borizana to meet the chairman of the Cooperative, to get some money. After I finished working with the mayor, I happened to meet Seit Xhafa on the street and he told me that; Hey, I heard you do cartridge mods. I told him that I want to do it, but I’m afraid and don’t tell me about this job, because I can’t do it anymore. He told me; aman, make me at least two pieces. I took two pieces of Soviet cartridges and an original cartridge that Seiti had and I did it. There is a 9-caliber “Beret” revolver.
Seiti came three or four times to my house, he found me once, but I didn’t do it, and when I did, Seiti came back to my house, but he didn’t find me there. When I came home, my nana told me that an unknown person came two or three times and told me; tell Gjeta that a friend has arrived from Borizana, he was coming until late today, and I’m in Mamurras. I fell that night and met him in Mamurras and gave him two pieces of cartridges.
Other man, I have not modified the cartridges. I had an original “Walter” cartridge of Nicholas at home; I think I left it in a plastic bag, alone or together with some old expired “Beret” brand cartridges, caliber 7 and a box of small with gunpowder. I have nothing else to say.
The minutes were read to me, my statements were written correctly and I signed them.

The secret document with the minutes of the interrogation of the defendant Gjet Kadeli, by the deputy head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the district of Kruja, Ramiz Lalzi
RECORDS
(NEW QUESTION OF THE DEFENDANT GJET KADELI)
In the city of Kruja, today on August 12, 1972, I, Ramiz Lalzi, Deputy/Head of the Internal Department of the Kruja district, in charge of the investigation, interrogated the defendant Gjet Kadeli, in accordance with the procedural rules.
THE QUESTION STARTED AT 11.00
AND IT FINISHED AT 2:30 PM
QUESTION: Continue, defendant, to talk about your illegal activity:
ANSWER: In 1968 or 1969, in the spring season, Kapllan Neziri, residing in Thumana, came to my house in Mamurras. He told me to fix the kondak of the couple. I told him that; I’ve never owned a double kondak, but still, I’m technically in a position to do it, since I’ve never owned a double kondak, I don’t even know its price. The chaplain told me that; I know the price and it costs 150 ALL. I agreed to work for him and told him to drop me the board.
After a few days, he brought the board home to me and although Kapllani delivered the complete pair, I removed the barrel of the single and kept the part of the pair, to repair it. I fixed the couple’s kondak and after a few days, Kapllani came to my house and took it, giving me 150 ALL for the work hack. In the spring of 1971, Zenel Xhepa from Bushnesh village told me to fix the couple’s kondak and I fixed it with my wooden material.
After a few days he came and took it and gave me 220 ALL. For this one, I also repaired the metal part that pulls out the cane. Whenever I repaired these people’s pairs, they always took the metal barrels with them. In June 1971, I gave it the glaze, in the presence of Mr. The couple of Ram Saja from Borizanja, without economic benefit. Through Rama Saja, Rifat Lama tells me, yes from Borizana, so that I could make him the kondak of the single, young couple. I have a complete set, the wooden part with the whole handle, and for this, he gave me 200 lek and the barrel, as usual, was kept by the owner, during the repair that I do to the couple.
After I fixed it, I took it to them myself, since I was working in the cooperative’s workshop, and after I handed it over, I took the money. I gave it in the workshop of the cooperative in the presence of Ram Saja. I gave a glaze to the baker of the Agricultural Cooperative of Borizana, whose name the baker, I don’t know, but I gave a glaze to his couple. Without asking anything, he gave me 25 Lek. During this period, Riza Vathi from Derven village of Kruja, I also fixed the kondak of the young couple, giving me 150 lek for the work fee.
He handed me the pair at the doors of the Borizana Agricultural Cooperative workshop and when I finished, I gave them to the workshop. In addition to repairing various firearms, I have also produced various knives myself, without the permission of the competent bodies, knowing that such a thing was prohibited by law. About two years ago, I made a knife for myself at home, with a blade length of up to 6 cm., with a wooden handle and sheath, also made of wood, with glaze.
This knife was taken from me in June or July by Halil Pasha from Borizana, a mechanic in this cooperative and residing in Thumana. I gave the knife to him, without any economic benefits. I produced case after case for Ramadan Hoxha, residing in Mamurras, for a friend of his, who I do not know and do not know his name, but who is from Lezha, with Ramadan’s material, at Ramadan’s office. I made the handle and sheath of the knife with white pecicllas. The blade of the knife was 6-7 cm. Before this knife, I have also produced a knife for myself, which I always kept in the inside pocket of my jacket.
This knife had a handle and sheath, made of are wood, glazed and up to 10 cm long. One night I happened to visit Ramadan Hoxha’s workshop and the traffic worker, Sabah Seseri, came there to fix the star on the white hat. They drew the shape and outline of the star with a pencil together with Kujtim Pema and Ramadan Hoxha tells me, give me the knife to cut the star. I gave him the knife, regretfully, and after the work was done, Sabahi took it with him and since that day, he has not given me the knife, even though I asked him two or three times myself.
He didn’t give me the knife by keeping me with his words, I will bring it today and I will cut it tomorrow. I have always used knives with a blade, up to 10 cm. and with a handle and case, made of white and red and green leather. On the day of the arrest, I gave this knife to Ndue Ded Gegë from Delbnishti. I left this knife to Ndue because I thought that someone’s mind is filled with nothing and he controls me. I left the knife in my hand and told him; they stabbed us and I left and ran away from his house.
I did not say anything else, the minutes were read to me and my statements were written correctly and signed. Memorie.al
