This is stated, among other things, in a highly secret State Security document dated March 3, 1987, where the entire conversation of Kadri Hazbi’s second son, Agron, with one of his workmates in Kurbnesh is revealed of the district of Mirdita, where they were both interned and all that conversation between them was then sent to Ramiz Ali.

As we will see from the document in question, which is part of a voluminous file that was extracted from the Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, (now part of the Authority for the Information of Files of the former State Security), in charge of to the former Minister of the Interior, Kadri Hazbiu and his family, in addition to Agron Hazbiu’s conversations with his friend (A.M.), who has declared everything in detail to the Department of Internal Affairs of the district of Mirdita, part of the voluminous file, are also many reports and secret information with denunciations and interceptions against the Hazbiu family, which begin in October 1982, and end at the beginning of 1991.

The struggle of Enver’s closest collaborators in the high leadership of the party and the state at that time, among others, is also known from this archival document that we are publishing today in the first part of this file (which will last in ten issues ), where Agron Hazbiu, or as he is otherwise known as Agron Dautaj, (former football player of the “Dinamo” team, has confirmed to his close friends, A.M., regarding the broken engagement between his brother, Petr Hazbiu (graduated as an architect) and Enver’s daughter (also an architect), since the beginning of the 70s, which came after the intervention of Ramiz Ali and Nexhmije Hoxha.

And only 15 months later, Agron Hazbiu was found dead in the copper mine in Kurbnesh, where according to the official version, he had committed suicide by tying dynamite to his body. But was it really a suicide, or did the State Security carry out Ramiz Ali’s order (written in his own hand: “…To act”), being afraid of the son of Kadri Hazbiu, who except once in 1982, he wanted to grab the machine gun, in defense of his father, but even in exile, in a moment of anger, he even expressed himself about throwing dynamite at someone…!

Regarding this and others, we will be familiar with a number of archival documents extracted from the voluminous file in charge of former Interior Minister Kadri Hazbiu and his family, which will be published by Memorie.al.

R E L A T I O N

ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TASKS SET FORTH IN THE JOINT PLAN OF AGENCY-OPERATIVE MEASURES DATED 9.2.1983, FOR THE CONTROL OF ENEMY LINKS KADRI HAZBIU

From the analysis that was made of the implementation of the tasks set out in this joint plan, by both the Departments of Internal Affairs, Mirdita and Pukë, it results as follows:

For the Department of Internal Affairs Mirdi:
In the first point, the task has been raised to make their physical security of the links of the enemy Kadri Hazbiu, who are under internment in the city of Kurbnesh. This task has been carried out and they have been presented twice a day to the Command of Department 44, they have also been provided with the agency of the line of measures, both at the place of residence and at the work center.
They were put under postal control and nothing of interest came out of the control of their correspondence.
There was no case that the sons of the enemy Kadri Hazbiu left the place of exile.
Their conversations were intercepted with T.O. and it does not appear that there is anything of operational interest, neither for themselves nor for their connections in the Puka district.
The colleague “Shkëlzeni” was directed: in the direction of Petri Hazbiu and from the conversations with him, nothing comes out about the connections that Petri has in Pukë and he did not give him any orders about these connections.
From the control that was made of the correspondence, it does not appear that Mimoza has any correspondence with Agron Aranitas by letter, with the exception of two cases, when by telegram, she asked Agron to bring the children to the town of Rrëshen.

For the Department of Internal Affairs, Puke.

p. The “Rose” that processes Myfit Hazbiu, has been given a task for his connections in Kurbnesh and nothing of operational interest, except for the fact that he knows about those who are interned in the district of Mirdita, has not come out.
Also B.p. “Furtuna”, “Radisti”, “Skhëndija” which have been directed towards Hali Daut Minxolli, have been given the task of looking at his reactions to his connections in the district of Puka in conversations with him, but it turns out that this too , knows that they are interned in the district of Mirdita.
Agron Aranitasi, with the exception of the day he broke up with his ex-wife, Mimoza, at the Court, went once again in the month of March, to the town of Rrëshen, to take the children, according to the court summons for subsequent reactions, nothing of interest has come up.
As it appears above, the object Agron Aranitasi has only gone to Mirdita on one occasion and it has been confirmed that he met Medin Çollaku, his former brother-in-law, and spent a few hours with him and returned to Pukë. From the control that was done with the agency, like Mediu and Agron, nothing came out that they talked about any particular problem.
The manuscript was taken from three objects, Agron Aranitas, Myfi Hazbiu and Hali Minxolli, and sent to the Department of Internal Affairs, Mirdita.
From the postal check that was made to these three facilities, it does not result that they have letter correspondence with their connections in Kurbnesh, with the exception of Agron Aranitas, which replied to Mimoza Hazbiu in February.

The tasks that both Branches have had jointly:

From the verification that has been made of the connections of the enemy Kadri Hazbiu, in the district of Puka, with the exception of the above persons, it does not appear that he has other connections, the same thing also in the district of Mirdita.
The links of the enemy Kadri Hazbiu, who are under exile in Kurbnesh, have not asked for permission to come to the district of Puka.
Samples of postage stamps available in Puka and Mirdita were taken, examined and compared with the postcard that was sent to Elena Çollak, but nothing came of it.

This information is derived from the action taken with T.O. stationary between the members of the family of the enemy of the Party and the people, Kadri Hazbiu, made in room no. 1. From the conversations, it turns out that:

I, the Operative Worker of the Kurbnesh area, Mihal Monka, after studying the preliminary processing form file in charge of the Agron Hazbiu facility, with file No. 1424

I found that:

Agron Hazbiu is the son of Kadri and Hedija, born in 1959, born in Tirana and living in the city of Kurbnesh, with a higher education, single, unmarried, unorganized, unconvicted, working in the Kurbnesh copper mine, with citizenship and Albanian nationality.

The object Agron Kadri Hazbiu was taken into preliminary processing on 9.2.1983, for agitation and propaganda against the party and popular power, and as a link to the enemy of the Party, Kadri Hazbiu, based on the data of B.p. “Dinamo”, dated 18.10. .1982, of the information of the citizen R. Mella, of the information of T.O.

During its processing, it was addressed to B.p. “Jupiter”, “Shenjuesi” who have given different findings, contacts with other people and from interceptions of conversations with T.O., it appears that Agroni remains indifferent. Thus, with all the measures taken so far, we have not been able to fully clarify his hostile activity and we think that he should also perform the duties provided for in the Directorate of Internal Affairs of Tirana.
