Memorie.al / The Special Operative Group that was created immediately after the arrest of the former Minister of the Interior, Kadri Hazbiu and his deputy, Feçor Shehu, in mid-October 1982, headed by the Deputy Minister of Works of the Interior, Zylyftar Ramizi, and as his subordinates, Enver Zeneli and Hasan Ulqinaku, among other measures, such as; the study and analysis of a large number of archival files, which belonged to a long period of time (1945-1982), called and asked some of the former high-ranking officials of the ALP leadership and former cadres senior leaders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officers of the State Security, etc., to give orally or in writing, what they knew, or had doubts, regarding the “hostile activity” of Mehmet Shehu, Kadri Hazbiu, Feçor Shehu, Llambi Peçin, Mihallaq Ziçishti, Llambi Ziçishti, or other persons, with whom they were connected by work or not, during the period that they had served at that ministry, or in the Interior Branches in the districts, in the sector of Political Intelligence, near our diplomatic missions accredited in different countries of the world, etc., etc.
Among the former senior officials of the APS and the leading cadres and officers of the State Security, etc., who responded to this call, giving their testimonies orally or in writing to the Special Operative Group, were: Liri Belishova, (former – member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the PPS Central Committee for propaganda, art and culture), Nesti Kerenxhi, (former Major General, Director of State Security and Minister of Internal Affairs), Xhule Çiraku (former Major General, Director of Security and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs), Rexhep Kolli (former Major General, Director of State Security and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs), Zija Kambo (former Major General and Commander of the Guard of the Republic), Zoi Themeli (former Major General, Director of State Security and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs), Nevzat Haznedari, (former Major General and Head of the Investigation in the Ministry of Internal Affairs ), Hekuran Pobrati (former colonel and senior officer of the State Security), Feti Smokthina (former colonel and Commander of the Republic Guard), Zylfi Saliu (former colonel, senior officer of the State Security, head of the Interior in some districts, deputy of the People’s Assembly), Lelo Sinaj, (former major officer and Director of State Security), Halil Zeneli (former colonel of Security and head of the Interior Branch in some districts), Ilo Manushi (officer major and head of the Personnel Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior), Xhemal Bejto Fasllia, (former senior officer of the State Security in the Ministry of the Interior), Ibrahim Kubati (former senior staff, sentenced to political prison, together with his brother, Ali Kubati, former vice-president of the Executive Committee of Tirana, friend and close friends of Myslym Keta), Mark Dodani (former lieutenant colonel and senior officer of the State Security), etc., which Memorie.al, i has published in past issues.
Following the publication of these letters, testimonies and information reports, which are hundreds and are located in the voluminous file of several thousand sheets, in charge of the former Minister of Internal Affairs Kadri Hazbiu, which is in the fund of the Authority for Information of the former State Security Documents, in today’s writing, we are publishing a letter of the former Operative Worker, Taras Kroi, (son of Enver Hoxha’s chief of staff, Haxhi Kroi), sent to the Special Operative Group, on the 20 October of 1982, where he informs them about some events that he heard from his superiors, including the one related to Kostandina Naunin, who for years served as Enver’s personal nurse Hoxha and also his family. I remember that in 1976, the former Deputy Director of the Directorate of Tirana, Kadri Ismailati (died in April 1977), told me that: “During the years 1957, 1958, 1959, when I was at work, the head of the Intelligence Security of the Border in the districts of Gjirokastër and Sarandë, I was pursuing some processes, which were related to the Teme Sejkos Group. Even, through the agency that I held at that time in relation, I managed to learn that………..!
In 1959, I was called to report to the Directorate of State Security, about the connections I was processing. We did the analysis at Kadri Hazbiu, where Mihallaq Ziçishti was among the main cadres (he didn’t tell me the names).
The name of…….. was not mentioned at all in this analysis, although we had gathered for the full disclosure of the hostile activity of a hostile group, a member of which came out and………… …….!
I couldn’t bear it and after everyone left, I came back and asked for a meeting with Kadri Hazbi and being alone I told him that………..! He told me that; how do you know this and even though you had ordered him to be careful not to take the pictures in his mouth.
As Kadri Ismailati told me, about Teme Sejko, there was information from the agency of the border area, but concretely, he did not tell me the nicknames.
In 1977, (a few days before Kadri Ismailati died), around April 15 or 16, the former director of the Directorate of Tirana, Nustret Dauti, sent me to the ministry for a work matter. In the corridor, I remember meeting Kadri Hazbi, and in the distance, after saying goodbye, I told him that Kadri Ismailati had died.
He stopped and told me that Kadriu was a skilled and prepared cadre, even though he had no schooling, he was intelligent and quite sharp. Among other things, he told me that in 1959, Kadri Ismailati had told him that…….but I denied it only for reasons of secrecy, since it was a problem that only some cadres here in the Ministry knew about.
As far as I remember, around 1976 or 1977, the month of June, by order of Kadri Hazbiu, by order of a P.Op. of Tirana, we were invested with a case related to my friend Kostandina Nauni, a nurse close to the family of the main leader of the Party. In the analysis and the task we received at the Ministry, there were Feçori, friend Xhule, Gëzim Hila, head of the Branch in Elbasan and someone else I don’t remember.
We were told that in a few days, to take measures to find out who had sent a girl from Elbasan to the house of Kostandina, who then met her, she was told that; you are my real mother, you have abandoned me. We were told that there is no other Constantine with this last name, who gave birth to another child out of wedlock.
From the clarification of the case, it turned out that this girl was from Elbasan, born in 1953, from Kostandina Nauni, but not the one who works in the main leader’s group.
I think that this issue should be clarified, because it may have been manipulated and conspired with certain goals by Kadri Hazbiu and Feçor Shehu, who could clarify that it was true that Kostandina Nauni, (who worked for the escort group), was born (…………………………) this with…………..!
