Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the Authority for the Information of the Files of the former State Security, where there is a voluminous file (the processing form file with 433 pages and the investigative and judicial file with 632 pages) in charge of Gjet Kadel , originally from the village of Bulshar i Oroshi of Mirdita and living in Bushnesh e Mamurras of Kurbin, former political prisoner in the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and his successor, Ramiz Alia, who spent 16 years in communist camps and prisons , as in Spaç, Burrel, etc. As we will see from the documents that are in the file in charge of Gjet Kadel, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, the surveillance and pursuit of him began in 1957, when he was 17 years old, with the information report of the State Security officer, Fahri Kraja, (based on the data of the Security associate with the nickname “Dylli i Bardhë”, with the approval of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kruja district, lieutenant colonel Muhedin Këxhalliu) , continued even during the period he was in camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, where after the revolt of May 1973, Gjeta was sentenced again, as he was the main ideator for raising the flag without the communist star, continuing then in the prison of Burrel, with the reports-information of the Operative Worker, Piro Nuredini, etc., about Gjeta’s conversations with other convicts of that prison, such as: Pjetër Arbnori, Daut Gumeni, Abdulla Sallaku, Spartak Ngjela, Avni Aliko, Luan Burimi , Çaush Çoku, Kapllan Resuli, Bardhosh Gjonzeneli, Bashkim Shehu, etc. The surveillance and follow-up of Gjet Kadel continued even after his release from prison in 1987, continuing until January 1991, with the collapse of the communist regime, when his file was finally closed and archived in the secret archive of the former State Security. In the same way, an important place in the said files is also occupied by letter correspondence of Gjeta and his family, with their father, Pjetër Kadeli, former soldier of the Monarchy of Zogu, who had blown up the prison cells of Internal Branch of Rrëshen on July 28, 1950, stayed for some time in the mountains on the run, and then in 1951, secretly returned to Mirdita, took his son, Gjoni, and escaped to Yugoslavia and then to the USA- es, where he stayed as a political emigrant, until the beginning of the 90s, when he returned permanently to Albania. During this period of almost 35 years since Gjet Kadeli has been followed and monitored by the State Security, a total of 33 associates of the State Security have been engaged and activated against him, who have given their reports, starting from “White Wax” in 1957, until the “Mountain Swallow” in 1990, which will be reflected in full, as they are in the relevant files.

He announces that one day in the room they were talking about the suffering of the prisoners in Burrel prison, from the convicts Bardhosh Gjonzeneli, Daut Gumeni, Skënder Shatku and later Dhori Grënjoti entered.
Daut Gumeni said: “These have taken all the bad things Hitler did in prisons with the Jews. The Hitlerites killed the prisoners, left them without food, put them in a room together and beat them. This is what they do, they beat you, leave you without food, punish you in vain, put 24 people in a room, etc.
Dhori Grënjoti said: “Even when you escape from the camp, they kill you like they killed in the German camps. When someone with the last name Zogu escaped from the Laçi camp and they caught him, they brought him to the front of the camp and one of the Ministries himself shot him 7 times with a revolver in the leg, until he broke his leg. Then he turned to us and said. We kill you all by the hand”.
Bardhosh Gjonzeneli said: “At the time of Koçi Xoxes, there were 7 kg. Foods, whereas today after 40 years, they decreased to 2 kg. They badmouth Kochi”.
Luan Burimi said: “I’m sorry, Mehmet Shehu, that I insulted you, but there are people more vile than you.” They left the dogs back, alive”.
Gjet Kadeli: “We don’t have to verbally mention the tortures and crimes they have committed for 40 years now. It’s horror, you remember. My uncle put me in prison for 25 years, he came out and I went in, I’m doing 12 years, my father did prison in the beginning. So my whole family was punished by the government”.
As soon as they saw the photo of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bebi Konomi said: “See how much the Minister has done (by name, how much of a barrel, where does he let you eat”?
Çaush Çoku said: “Look at the Secretary of the Central Committee of the ALP (by name), my patriot, how fat she is, she has all of Myzeqe in her hands.” He came from Tirana, Kosta Gjoka said: “I left Sadik Bekteshin in Tirana, sentenced to 25 years”.
Muho Bala immediately came to Kosta’s bed and asked him about Sadik. In the end he said: “Sadik has been one of the best cadres of our Army. But, this government is replacing them with the Minister of People’s Defense (by name) with friends who don’t even know how to read, but they are capable of killing anyone who opposes them”.
Paulin Vata, said: “All socialist countries kill smart people, the fight against technocratism because they heard what Stalin, the main leader of the Party, and others said.”
Muho answered: “These are not socialists, because the socialists are in Moscow, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Hungary.”

Evaluation: The report has operational value; it shows the hostile reactions of the above-mentioned convicts, regarding the prison regime, on the alleged bad treatment given to the prisoners by the state, for the change in the prison regulations. They speak with hatred about the leadership of the Party and the state. Why do these convicts develop hostile activity in the form of agitation and propaganda with each other?

He announces that a few days ago, the radio gave a program about the events in Kosovo, that an Albanian had broken his spine. Because, the convict Gjet Kadeli said this, he said loudly: “They forget these Albanians of the years 1947-’48-’49, when they drowned them in the prison cells. Vangjel Rëmbeci himself, the prison commander here in Burrel, killed two people in one night”.
Convicted Daut Gumeni said: “Thousands of Kosovars surrendered to Tito’s policemen within one day. By order of the Central Committee, the Kosovar nationalists surrendered and were shot by Tito and his friends. And Tito did not spare them, but killed them. Sajit Bulica told me and Pjetër Arbnori, that they were struggling in 1945-1946, when the Kosovars were fighting there; they came with us to Albania and climbed on the backs of our cars, while we, on orders, hit their hands with rifle butts. We knocked them to the ground; the Serbs took them and shot them without trial”.

Clarification: Gjet Kadeli is convicted of crimes against the state, his father and brothers have fled abroad, we have data on him.
Daut Gumeni is convicted of crimes against the state, he has a brother convicted of crimes against the state, and we have data on him.
Pjeter Arbnori, convicted of crimes against the state, is pursued by us in active processing 2/A for counter-revolutionary organization.
Sehit Butlica, was convicted of crimes against the state, died today.
Evaluation: The data has operational value; it shows the agitation and sharp propaganda developed by these convicts, related to the events in Kosovo. It turns out that these convicts carry out this activity openly in the presence of other convicts in the room. It turns out that Dauti is closely related to the Pjetër Arbnori facility.

This government has been established for 40 years and has been maintained for 40 years. The Chairman of the Presidium of the People’s Assembly (by name) will do well. He is a friend of Mehmet Shehu and is no better than him.”
