Memorie.al publishes documents from the year 1974 with the characteristics of the “Bylis” Theater of Fier for the well-known director, Leka Bungo, where he was accused of showing arrogance, arrogance, arrogance and disdain for the basic organization of the party, etc., etc. as well as the characteristic of the Directorate of State Security from 1989 when Bungo requested a passport to go to his mother’s relatives in Greece, and it is noted that the well-known director was monitored by the State Security and taken into processing preliminary, 2 A, for agitation and propaganda.
As we pointed out in the previous chapter, the information report of the Deputy Minister of Education and Culture, Mantho Bala (who at that time also held the position of Chairman of the Culture and Arts Committee), sent to the Central Committee of the ALP regarding the problems they had appeared in the Theater (BYLIS) and Estrada e Fier, it was preceded by a secret information report of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and at the same time Director of State Security, Feçorr Shehu, who is also directed to the Central Committee of the ALP. Where according to practice, his report was given to the corresponding secretary, Hysni Kapo, who covered the organs of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and at the same time, Ramiz Ali, who covered Art, Culture and Propaganda. And this document, after it was seen by them, with the relevant notes, was also sent to Enver Hoxha, who also put notes on that document. But what stands out is that from Mantho Bala’s information report, an extra of almost one page has been cut off (where it is only about Leka Bungo), which was sent separately to Enver Hoxha, which seems and from the corresponding facsimile with Enver’s signature. As we will see in the said document of Deputy Minister Feçorr Shehu, there he made a “synoptic picture”, about the political situation that prevailed at that time in the whole country, regarding what was said and commented after Enver Hoxha’s speech on March 15, 1973 in the Presidium of the People’s Assembly and also in the III Plenum of the Central Committee. What stands out in this report is that only the director Leka Bungo is mentioned by name (together with the author of the drama Kleanthi Dusha), which subsequently led to his surveillance and follow-up by the State Security. This is also confirmed by a document from 1989, when Bungo made a request to go as a visitor to Greece, to his mother’s relatives, of Greek origin and nationality. Along with these two documents that we are publishing in this chapter of the book, we are also giving a characteristic of the Bylis Theater in Fier, which was issued to the well-known director, Leka Bungo, where among others, a sentence stands out that says: ” The size of his mind has taken him so far that in his work (Leka Bungo), he has to surpass other theaters, for these he has learned from modernism, conventionalism in directing, in podium mania, etc.” Moreover, we are aware of the three documents in question which we are publishing in full and without any cuts, as they are in the relevant files in the Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central State Archive.

The characteristics of the Fieri Theater for the well-known director / “The arrogance has made Leka Bungo pass to other theaters”…
Characteristic
Leka Ferdinand Bungo, born on 29 II. 1944 in Tirana, originally a middle-class clerk (his father was a doctor), his mother is of Greek nationality and has maintained an indifferent attitude. After the liberation, the grandfather was imprisoned for non-payment of taxes after being affected by the popular power reform, a pair of houses, a shop and two farms were nationalized. There is a high school for actors and a year course for directors.
He came to our district in February 1971 and was appointed director of the Fier Theater. During the time he worked in this Theatre, it was found that he was characterized by a tendency to be bigoted, disdainful in society and that of Vlora, and a person with a tendency to lean towards bourgeois art.
During his work in Fier, Comrade Leka has had a positive and another negative view, he has shown himself to be an energetic worker, especially when he came at the beginning, but later he had a decline, he has shown himself to be a professionally capable person as a director, he has shown himself like this and this is and was impressed both by the school and by the time he was in Vlora.
In addition to his work as a director, he has also made various creations. In addition to the good work during the time, Comrade Leka also had a number of shortcomings that consisted of the lack of studying the party’s materials with due seriousness, not delving into them and not applying them in life. Over time, he has shown arrogance, he has shown disdain towards other people in work relationships, from this large mind he has moved to liberalism, making irresponsible comparisons to his subordinates and supervisors. The size of his mind has taken him so far, that in his work he has to surpass other theaters, for these he has deviated from modernism, conventionalism in directing, in podjumomania, etc. Shows these taken from bourgeois art.
With these shows accepting a non-socialist content in the drama “The Story of a Girl”, Leka Bungo fights for this ideologically flawed drama to be put on, to not accept criticism and to cross the line of the masses by calling the critics conservative, left behind etc.
Leka Bungo has entered the path of modernism and deviation from bourgeois art for three reasons: firstly, because this has long been the trend for him, secondly, he is, without needing with party materials, and thirdly, he is encouraged by the caresses of the Secretary of the Ismet Cibaj Party, which was also infected by modernism, liberalism and other bourgeois isms.
The flaws in his lack of ideological formation and his bourgeois performances in the activity were discussed and criticized in the collective in the light of party materials, and the collective maintained a revolutionary attitude towards him and his performances. In these meetings, Comrade Leka, I discuss in the spirit of self-criticism, I reveal the origin and causes of the flaws of his bourgeois ideological manifestations in life and in art. His self-criticism was deep and considered complete. This fact promises to put him on the path of correction and revolutionary tempering. In order to give him real opportunities to actually carry out education, tempering and correction, the grassroots organization and the collective decided that Comrade Leka Bungo should be sent to production for an indefinite period of time.
We think that it will go into labor production in N.Sh. N. Ballsh.
