Memorie.al/ publishes some archival documents issued by the Authority for the Information of the Files of the former State Security, where there is a voluminous file (form processing file and investigative and judicial file) in charge of Gjet Kadel, originally from the village of Bulshar of Oroshi in Mirdita and residing in Bushnesh and Mamurras in Kurbin, former political prisoner in the communist regime of Enver Hoxha and his successor, Ramiz Alia, who spent a full 16 years in communist camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, Burrel , etc. As we will see from the documents that are in the file in charge of Gjet Kadel, which is published for the first time by Memorie.al, the surveillance and pursuit of him began in 1957, when he was 17 years old, with the information report of the State Security officer, Fahri Kraja, (based on the data of the Security associate with the nickname “Dylli i Bardhë”, with the approval of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kruja district, lieutenant colonel Muhedin Këxhalliu) , has continued even during the period that he was in camps and prisons, such as in Spaç, where after the revolt of May 1973, Gjeta was re-sentenced, as he was the main ideator for raising the flag without the communist star, continuing in Burrel prison, with the reports-information of the Operative Worker, Piro Nuredini, etc., about Gjeta’s conversations with other prisoners of that prison, such as: Pjetër Arbnori, Daut Gumeni, Abdulla Sallaku, Spartak Ngjela, Avni Aliko, Luan Burimi, Çaush Çoku, Kapllan Resuli, B come Gjonzeneli, Bashkim Shehu, etc. The surveillance and follow-up of Gjet Kadel continued even after his release from prison in 1987, continuing until January 1991, with the collapse of the communist regime, when his file was finally closed and archived in the secret archive of the former State Security. In the same way, an important place in the said files is also occupied by letter correspondence of Gjeta and his family, with their father, Pjetër Kadeli, former soldier of the Monarchy of Zogu, who had blown up the prison cells of of the Internal Branch of Rrëshen, stayed for some time in the mountains on the run and then in 1949, took his son, John, and escaped to Yugoslavia and then to the USA, where he stayed as a political immigrant until the beginning of the 90s, when he returned permanently to Albania. During this period of 35 years, that Gjet Kadeli has been followed and monitored by the State Security, 33 associates of the State Security have been engaged and activated towards him, who have given their reports, starting from “Dilli i bardhe” in 1957- until the “Mountain Swallow” in 1990, which will be reflected in full, as they are in the relevant files.

BIOGRAPHY OF GJET KADEL
GJET KADELI: The son of Pjetr and Dila, born in 1940, born in Bulasharë village (Orosh), Rrëshen district and family resident in Bushnesh village, Kruja district, by profession a farmer, with primary education, of the Catholic faith, unmarried, with Albanian nationality and citizenship, comes from a rural middle class and in good economic condition.
During Zog’s anti-popular regime, his attitude was not good. At this time, he had his aunt, Marka Ndrec Kadeli, an officer with the rank of N/Lieutenant of the Gendarmerie, as well as his father, Pjetri, was a N/Officer in the Gendarmerie, with service in various countries and service in the Gendarmerie he did it with his brother, so their attitude was not good, because they sympathized with this regime and served it continuously.
With the arrival of the two Italian-German occupiers in our country, the position of Gjeta’s family was not good, at this time, his father was in the service of this regime, with the rank of N/Lieutenant, in the Gendarmerie, the service he did it in Shkodër and Peja in Yugoslavia, as well as his uncle, he was a lieutenant, so even during this time, their attitude was bad, like Gjeta’s aunt, like his father, they had relations closely with the District Commander of Shkodra, Ndrec Preng Marku, who had the rank of major, was killed today.
After the liberation of Albania, his family did not maintain a good attitude, they sheltered and supplied fugitives, such as Mark Gjon Marku, Llesh Bajraktar, etc., and for this his two uncles, Zef and Mark Kadeli, were arrested and sentenced with three years in prison, later, Gjeta’s father, Pjetri, had connections with saboteurs, and sheltered the criminals who killed Bardhok Biba, for this Pjetri and Mark Kadeli, both brothers, were arrested, Mark was interned , while Pjetri was in prison, before Pjetri was sentenced, he got out of prison and escaped abroad, together with his son, Gjon Kadeli, where they are still fugitives today.
Today, his family’s situation is not good, his brother and father are fugitives abroad, his paternal grandfather, Zef Kadel, is imprisoned, sentenced to 25 years in prison, Gjeta maintains correspondence today, either with his father, even with his brother.

On 3.10.1961, at dinner time, a man named Gjet Kadeli went to his house, who, after greeting him, said: My uncle, Bib Kaçorri, from Bushneshi, told me that he had talked with an officer, Captain I, who is the battalion commander in Mamurras, whose name he did not tell him. This captain, told Bib Kaçorri, that a few days ago, here in Mamurras, General Gjin Marku passed with a car, which when he passed, the car had no license plate, while when he returned, he had put a license plate on it. Gjini did this on purpose, so that it would not be understood that there were escaped criminals inside the car. Gjini, went all the way to Shkodër and returned. Gjini, the captain tells Bib Kaçorri, is the leader of the saboteur gangs that come to Albania. Then, the captain says that; in Albania, 40 criminals have now landed with parachutes. Bib Kaçorri, is a reserve officer and depends on this captain for training. For Bib Kaçorri, this captain is interested in finding him a good job on the farm.
He finds Kadeli, tells him that; these days, I was in Rrëshen and there I heard in a place, at a friend of mine, the foreign broadcasts where, speaking in Albanian, West Germany, on October 15, will fall to Russia, and the war will break out.
