Memorie.al publishes some archival documents issued by the institution of the Authority for Information of Former State Security Files, where is the voluminous file (forms, investigative and judicial), of Myrteza Bajraktari, originally from Gostivar, who after graduating from school in the city of Tetovo, in 1952, began his higher studies at the University of Skopje, in the branch of Philosophy, where in addition to teaching he was employed as a journalist in the newspaper “Flaka e Vllaznimit” published in Skopje, from where he was quickly dismissed. , after publishing an article openly against the displacement of Yugoslav Albanians to Turkey and, as a result, was appointed a teacher at the 7-year school “Shaban Zeneli” in Kumanovo. Myrtezai was arrested by the UDB in 1952, after he was part of a secret organization called the ‘Albanian National-Democratic Organization’, and he was sentenced to seven years in political prison, which he served in the Nis prison and Idrizovo. Escape from Yugoslavia and coming to Albania, where after staying for some time in the internment camp in Seman of Fier, he was given the right to high school, graduating from the University of Tirana in Language and Literature, but after refusing the appointment in the city of Berat, in 1971, he was arrested and sentenced to seven years in political prison, on charges of “agitation and propaganda”. His release from prison left him without a job until the fall of the communist regime and his appointment as Consul General of Albania in Switzerland, until 1993, as well as his election as Honorary President of the Albanian League in the World, for the countries of Benelux, where he worked for the cause of Kosovo, until he passed away on December 11, 2020. On 9.12.1983, we met on our part Adem Istrefi who was asked about the persons he had contacts with and who are of Kosovar origin and specifically about the arrested Selim Kelmendi. Ademi told him that his arrest did not surprise his social connections at all; as such a thing was expected. Selimi, had been put to everyone both in the school where he taught and in life and had left the impression that he was a Security man.
Then Ademi said that Selimi had a very close friendship with Myrteza Bajraktari because he has been connected with this person since he was in Kosovo. I said Ademi, at first I had friendship with Myrtezai but, since I witnessed his hostile activity, I no longer associate with him. I also know that Myrteza Bajraktari also has close ties with Agim Gjakova. Ademi also had a connection with the latter, as they did the work of creativity together.
Ademi also knew that Myrtezai had a connection with Osman Rustemi (Kelmendi) and this connection came after Osmani had a close friendship with Myrtezai’s gardener, Estref Kelmendi. In one case, Ademi said, when a group of athletes came from Yugoslavia, they were accompanied by a person who was the head of the UDB for Peja. This person was married to Myrteza Bajraktari’s granddaughter.
In addition, Ademi told me that Myrtezai claims to have been persecuted by the UDB, and also shows a sign he allegedly made of them. That sign was accidentally created for Myrteza. Ademi is predisposed to help the State Security organs, but his knowledge in this regard was small as he had been separated from these premises for some time.

The source informs that on 22.12.1983, Selimi told him that: tonight the investigator asked me to talk about others with whom I talked about the main task. The investigator told me that our names are in the process. I told him to get away from this point, and at some other point we would not stop, but the investigator refused to get out of this point.
I said Selimi, I realized that they do not have the names of Myrteza Bajraktar and Kristina Palit but, after I spoke to the investigator and explained about the assassination, they have names for witnesses, but neither Myrtez nor Kristina had them.
And then I asked him where could Myrtezai and Kristina be?! Then he said to me, “Every mountain knows its snow.” Selimi could no longer continue the conversation after this answer. On 23.12.1983, when he returned from the investigation, Selimi asked him how he did.
He said: my soul is coming to the tip of my nose because the investigator is not leaving me without speaking. It lasted me 8 hours, and a day 5 hours. He told me that I do not leave without you speaking. When I saw that I had nowhere to go, I talked about Niman’s arrival and the meeting with Zefi in Isuf Qyti, for the second time in September 1978.
The investigator also kept these notes. He told me that I am talking in half, but I will be asked about these later. To speak speaks, but speaks belatedly. Selimi said that your investigator will ask you other questions in the future. He told investigators I know nothing. On 24.12.1983, Selimi told him that he was not beaten here and that he was very upset.

These will create other troubles for you and we will get out of jail. He told Selim that: as far as I understand, you will finish the investigation and leave me here. Selimi told me no, as he had many other jobs here and you will see for yourself.
