Statement
I, the undersigned Gac Mazi, son of Kola, born and living in Shkodra, by profession First Secretary of the Regional Youth Committee, with Albanian citizenship and nationality, declare the following: Regarding Tuk Jakova, I know that when was the People’s Commissar in Shkodra in 1945-’46, had constant contacts with clergy, friars and priests, who went to his home and office. From these I remember Dom Ernesto Çoba, now the Archbishop of Shkodra and Father Leon Kabashi, now the brother in the Franciscan Seminary.

On the occasion of announcing the candidacies for the People’s Assembly in 1949, Tuk Jakova held a meeting of the Catholic neighborhood of his area in the courtyard of the Great Church in the Serreq neighborhood, where in this meeting there was also the participation of Catholic clergy.
Also at the time when he was the Commissar of the 3rd Corps, he received material for houses from the merchants of Shkodra, free of charge. With these materials he had completed many rooms of the former house of Zef Koka, which he had taken as a residence. Other traders in Shkodra have also taken bribes, such as Zef Koka, Man Tepelia, etc.
He intervened directly in the Local Government of Shkodra, to leave a garden to the family of the trader Koliqi, who had rented it to a neighbor. Tuk’s intervention has been unfair. The land was taken away from the communist Fadil Metushi and given to the owner, who still uses it today.
At the time when one of his cousins was ousted from the hospital (Zef Shiroka’s daughter), a man affected by the government reforms, he sent his brother, Frano Jakova, to Shkodra, to inquire that this family is supposedly persecuted by the authorities.
