1944 – The massacre of February 4, 1944 took place. 1975 – Born in Sydney, Natalie Imbruglia. Imbruglia, is an Australian-British songwriter, model, and actress. In the early 1990s, she played Beth Brennan in the Australian soap opera Neighbors. 1992 – A coup is waged by Hugo Chavez against Venezuelan President Carlos Andres Pérez. 2014 – Ibrahim Madhi, one of the most important figures of Albanian music and performing arts, passed away. Known for his magnificent formation and musicality, the outstanding musician has made a valuable contribution to the formation of the national school of musical interpretation. For his merits and special contribution, he enjoyed the highest art title in Albania: “People’s Artist”. His name is associated not only with being a brilliant soloist, but at the same time also a perfect leader of chamber music groups and string orchestras. The cheering for the Albanian school of violin performance cannot be understood without the name of Ibrahim Madhi as one of the central figures of this school. The beginnings of his pedagogical activity belong to 1962, previously as a teacher of the violin class at the Artistic High School “J. Misja” and then, in 1965, near I.L. Arts. For more than 40 years of teaching career, he has prepared entire generations of prominent violinists and musicians.

2019 – Died at age 55, in Lappeenranta, Matti Nykanen. Nykanen was a Finnish skier who raced from 1981 to 1991. He is considered the best skier of all time. Nykanen won five Winter Olympic medals (four gold), nine World Championship medals (five gold), and 22 Finnish Championship medals (14 gold). Matti has been decorated as Finland’s most famous sport.
