-The activity of the Albanian political emigration, against the communist regime of Tirana-
Memorie.al / The establishment of the communist dictatorship in Albania, among other things, brought an increase in Albanian political and economic immigration to Yugoslavia, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, France, USA, Canada, Australia, etc. The main groups in which this emigration operated were: “Free Albania” Committee, “Agrarian Front”, “Legality Group”, “Balli” of Ali Këlcyra, “Independent Bloc” Group, “Albanian-American Literary Society” , “Vatra” organization, “Free Albania” organization, “Albanian Heroism” organization, “Albanian Anti-Stalinian Resistance Front” organization, Vorio-Epiriote organization, A.A.N.O. organization, “Turkish-Albanian Brotherhood” association, etc.
In the second half of the 70s, of the last century, a radicalization of the attitudes of the Albanian political emigration was found, this was also reflected in the content of the periodicals of their organizations (“Homeland”, “Dielli”, “Flamuri” , “Lidhja e Prizren”, “Shejzat”, “Free Albania”, etc.), especially the tracts and leaflets that were dropped in Albania, through which the awareness of the Albanian people was aimed at an armed action to overthrow the regime communist of Enver Hoxha. Through some of them, information is conveyed about the bloody forms of action of the dictatorial state structures in Albania, under the direction of the red nomenclature, especially the duo; Hoxha – Shehu.
Based on their content and on the data, they had, the specialized bodies in Albania came to the conclusion that these materials were prepared abroad by the anti-communist organization “Legality”, headed by Leka Zogu, under the direction of American intelligence. In fact, at the beginning of the 70s of the last century, the political emigration abroad began to reorganize to intensify its activity, against the communist regime in Albania, a regime that was identified with the duo Hoxha – Shehu: the “Legality” organization ” in 1972, he chose the “Military Council for the Liberation of Ethnic Albania”, under the leadership of Leka Zogut; the “Albanian Heroism” organization headed by Ndue Gjonmarkaj, created in 1965, by the Italian discovery of the Vatican, held its congress in 1975; while in 1974, the leaders of the “Free Albania Committee”, under the guidance of American intelligence, secretly created the organization “Albanian Anti-Stalinian Resistance Front”, headed by Rexhep Krasniqi.
“Legality”, “Albanian Heroism” and “Resistance Front”, having the same anti-communist platform, except for sending combat groups, to carry out sharp acts and activities against Albanian representations abroad, etc., in cooperation with each other, they also put in their program the distribution of propaganda materials in Albania.
In one of the calls of the “Military Council for the Liberation of Ethnic Albania”, after showing the necessity of creating this council, among others it was emphasized: “Albanians, prepare yourself, the day of liberation is approaching, the bloodthirsty regime will disappear, Kosovo and Chameria are ours, the Albanians in exile have been mobilized, enough with the misery under communism, war against the atheistic government”.
The specialized organs of the communist regime took measures and directed special tasks towards the fugitives who had been activated and were expected to be sent in the form of armed groups to Albania, especially for those who had been activated by Leka Zogu and the “Resistance Front” , which was directed by Rexhep Krasniqi.
Profile of Rexhep Krasniqi
Rexhep Krasniqi, originally from Malësia e Gjakova (Tropojë), was born in Gjakova in 1906. He finished four years of primary school in his hometown and the last two years in Shkodër. He headed the “Theresianum” high school in Vienna (Austria), which was and still is one of the most popular schools in Central Europe. In 1934, he defended his doctorate with the topic; “Berlin Congress and the Northeast of Albania”.
After completing his studies, Dr. Krasniqi returns to his homeland and starts working as a professor of history and geography in the city school of Gjirokastra, where he is later appointed as deputy director. In 1938, he was transferred to Tirana, where he was appointed Director of Education and later Senior Inspector, under the same ministry. At the end of 1941, he was appointed High Commissioner of Albanian Schools for the Free Lands and director of the “Sami Frashëri” Normal School, in Pristina, where he simultaneously taught the German language. In 1943 (February 12 – April 28), he participated in Malik Bushati’s government, as Minister of State for Education.
In 1943, he was elected vice-president of the National Assembly (Parliament) where, for the first time, representatives were elected by free votes (democratically) among the provinces of Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia (north-eastern Albanian territories). In this assembly, the union of occupied lands with the Albanian state is announced, as well as the independence and neutrality of Albania, against the warring powers.
Dr. Krasniqi was twice elected vice-president of the Second League of Prizren, when it was led by Mr. Musa Shehu and Xhafer Deva.
With the arrival of communism in power, he said goodbye to his homeland and, together with the “Kosovo group” of the League of Prizren, took the paths of exile. He stayed for a short time in Syria and from there, he emigrated to Australia. Around 1956, he was called by the American Foreign Ministry, participated in the reorganization of the formation of the “Free Albania” Committee, based in New York, and was re-elected Chairman of the Committee, which he led for 35 consecutive years, until the overthrow of the communist regime in Albania.
Dr. Krasniqi is the author of a large number of studies published in Albanian, English and German. His academic conferences at various universities in America and Europe, as well as the articles published in the exile press, especially in the organ of the “Free Albania” Committee, the “Free Albania” newspaper, could be several buys (volumes).
Regarding his services among Albanian schools, in Northeast Albania, outside the political borders of the Albanian State, in 1994, prof. Krasniqi was decorated by the President of Democratic Albania Dr. Prof. Sali Berisha, with the order “Naim Frashëri” of the First Class. Prof. Rexhep Krasniqi, died in New York, USA, on February 13, 2000, donating to the USA-based “Vatra” Federation his entire rich library, as well as thousands of pages of first-class studies, mainly in the field of history and albanology, which are waiting to be published.
Appeal to the Albanian people from the “Freedom Fighter”, for the overthrow of the communist regime
The leaflet with the most radical content in that period was “Freedom Fighter”, organ of the “Resistance Front for Freedom”, which was published somewhere in the midst of the captive Albanian people, and on the last cover, with the slogan “Shumë Sekret”, had the order: “Read, study, share”. In the following, the reader will be introduced to parts of this document, the content of which alarmed the highest representatives of the dictatorial regime in Albania, in 1977. We emphasize that a people that does not learn the right lessons from the mistakes of the past, is destined to suffer in the present, but also in the future.

They were strangled with cannibalistic torture, consumed in their innocent bodies. These crimes were committed behind the bloody curtain of the Hoxha-Shehu criminal clique, without the knowledge of the Albanian people.
The rulers of Tirana isolated the Albanian people, from the whole world, they are keeping the people surrounded by guards with barbed wire and dynamite, not to know what happens outside the borders of isolated Albania, 30 years in a row. That clique tries to keep the people in darkness and ignorance with their Stalinist methods: oppress, terrorize and rule without fear.
The eternal ideal of the Tirana clique was, is and has been; the protection of their bloody armchairs, no matter how much blood there was, cost the Albanian people. The 1959 clash between N.S. Khrushchev and the ruling clique of Tirana, it was nothing but an attempt to protect armchairs.
Khrushchev (made) a proposal to the Stalinist clique of Tirana, to change their tactics against the Albanian people, and at the same time he made another proposal: – The Hoxha-Shehu clique, given the opportunity to other Albanian communists, to lead the party and the government. Hoxha-Shehu did not like such a proposal at all, because such an action endangered the seats of the Tirana clique. In order to save their seats from the danger posed by Khrushchev, the Hoxha-Shehu clique, without wasting any time, was forced to become the second “Marco Polo”, this time they went and kneeled to Mao Zedong of the Stalinist China of that time. , master of the tyranny of 750,000,000 Chinese people.
When the Stalinist rulers of Tirana were assured by Chairman Mao, they returned to Tirana, and without wasting time declared their break with N.S. Khrushchev and at the same time the new friendship with Mao. That clique, in order to justify their usual adventures before the Albanian people, arrested a group of honest and innocent officers, led by Admiral Teme Sejko, etc., who were brought before the court behind closed doors, without the people saying anything. Every Albanian must today: – The time has come to prepare, to make the last supreme sacrifices for freedom, democracy and socialism, to break the cruel shackles of Stalinist tyranny, from the hands of the enslaved Albanian people and our families. To achieve that sacred goal, we must all join together, regardless of political opinion and ideas, as a single body, to completely eliminate from the face of the earth, the usurping Stalinist clique, headed by the criminals of the Albanian people; Hoxha-Shehu. The hostile actions of that clique are illegal actions of an illegal clique, a clique which came to power, by means of a rifle, against the will of the Albanian people. And as such, that clique must be eliminated for life, by force of the rifle.
The Albanian people in general, workers, peasants, civil servants, youth, students, soldiers and intellectuals, have been living for 30 years in a row, surrounded by guards, dynamite and barbed wire, at the end of Stalinist darkness, with very little knowledge in all fields, cultural, scientific, economic, ideo-political, etc., the Albanian people must not forget the rain of Stalinist terror in our country. He must stay stronger than ever, because the rotten clique of Tirana is finally pulling the soil from their feet. The victory of the Albanian people’s struggle for freedom is made possible by the majority of the people themselves, who heroically fight for freedom against the rotten forces of Stalinist darkness in our country.
The Albanian people, in their future, must build a democratic-socialist social system, with free elections, the people became the leader of their own destiny, we must build the system of two legal political parties in our country. Our anti-Stalinist organization has taken responsibility for any conclusion – a possible result. The Hoxha-Shehu Stalinist clique, until now, have lived at the mercy of foreign powers. We believe that no state, whether large or small, can be secure and peaceful when it lives at the mercy of someone else.

The Albanian voice that fell in the field of honor for freedom, democracy and socialism, is calling you to bring their ideals to the country, for which ideals they fell victim. That fortress of tyranny, is nothing but a fortress built of paper, where a light wind passed through it, it falls to the ground with shame and hatred, before the eyes and hearts of the Albanian people and its history, for life. The “Anti-Stalinist Resistance Front”, for freedom, democracy and socialism, in our country, calls on all the Albanian people without distinction, to be ready at all times for supreme sacrifices, for the decisive attack, against the rotten forces of darkness Stalinists in our country, headed by the criminal adventurer clique, sworn enemies of the freedom of the Albanian people, Hoxha-Shehu.
The unification of the Albanian people around the “Anti-Stalinist Resistance Front” had brought about the sure death of that usurping clique and the complete victory of freedom, democracy and socialism for the Albanian people, to build the future of their destroyed lives. from the infamous cooperative system in our country, for 30 years enslaved.
