Part eight
Memorie.al / “My brother, Petriti, wanted the daughter of the Founder of the Party, but at a time when the Founder of the Party was no longer in good health, the current leader of the Party urged the wife of the Founder of the Party, so that this engagement does not take place was done and this told my father that; this engagement could not be done because the people will speak. My father called Petrit and said: Forget this conversation! The leader of the Party did this, because if this engagement took place, the friendship would be strengthened and after his death, the chair of the Founder of the Party would be taken by my father. The wife of the Founder of the Party did not ask the founder of the Party about the children’s problems. When my father was dismissed and the free investigation continued with him, we were all gathered at our house, we asked him how the work was. The father gathered us and told us: ‘I have worked honestly, but this is how the Party sees fit. The truth will come out one day, but then I will have grass in my eyes! He especially told me that; Goni, I’m afraid you’re in a hurry. From the injustices they did to my father, my blood rushed to my head and I wanted to take the machine gun in my trunk and not allow them to take my father, but my father told me: Not like that Agron, because I don’t put a rifle against the Founder of the Party”.
This is stated, among other things, in a highly secret State Security document dated March 3, 1987, where the entire conversation of Kadri Hazbi’s second son, Agron, with one of his workmates in Kurbnesh is revealed of the district of Mirdita, where they were both interned and all that conversation between them was then sent to Ramiz Ali.
As we will see from the document in question, which is part of a voluminous file that was extracted from the Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, (now part of the Authority for the Information of Files of the former State Security), in charge of to the former Minister of the Interior, Kadri Hazbiu and his family, in addition to Agron Hazbiu’s conversations with his friend (A.M.), who has declared everything in detail to the Department of Internal Affairs of the district of Mirdita, part of the voluminous file, are also many reports and secret information with denunciations and interceptions against the Hazbiu family, which begin in October 1982, and end at the beginning of 1991.
The struggle of Enver’s closest collaborators in the high leadership of the party and the state at that time, among others, is also known from this archival document that we are publishing today in the first part of this file (which will last in ten issues ), where Agron Hazbiu, or as he is otherwise known as Agron Dautaj, (former football player of the “Dinamo” team, has confirmed to his close friends, A.M., regarding the broken engagement between his brother, Petr Hazbiu (graduated as an architect) and Enver’s daughter (also an architect), since the beginning of the 70s, which came after the intervention of Ramiz Ali and Nexhmije Hoxha.
And only 15 months later, Agron Hazbiu was found dead in the copper mine in Kurbnesh, where according to the official version, he had committed suicide by tying dynamite to his body. But was it really a suicide, or did the State Security carry out Ramiz Ali’s order (written in his own hand: “…To act”), being afraid of the son of Kadri Hazbiu, who except once in 1982, he wanted to grab the machine gun, in defense of his father, but even in exile, in a moment of anger, he even expressed himself about throwing dynamite at someone…!
Regarding this and others, we will be informed by a number of archival documents extracted from the voluminous file in charge of former Interior Minister Kadri Hazbiu and his family, which will be published by Memorie.al

Giver’s Rating:
The data has operational value because it refers to Agron Hazbiu in preliminary processing, who comments, comparing the level of our football, with that abroad.
Tasks given B.p.
He gave you the task to watch and record Agron’s contacts with other people, to record his and Petrit’s suspicious movements, he gave you the opportunity to talk to Agron, telling him about football problems, how much I see, our football is massive and there are advances, our football players have their own profession and when they leave football, they work because they have a job, while outside, as far as I know, they throw themselves on the streets.
Operational measures:
In the brigade where Agroni works, a candidate should be studied and put into the secret service.
Analyze its processing to raise it to 2/A.
The data should be printed in two copies, 1 to be sent to the Operative group and 1 to the Agroni file.
Operative Workshop
Mihal Monka
Note:
Be careful with the tasks given B.p. for the object, he should not break down with it, in the political, ideological aspect of the massiveness of football of our sport and compare this with the business of sports abroad, because, B.p., for this knowledge, before the object, it is profane, but show with great interest how they play abroad, what kind of training they do, what kind of people they are and why they have this level, since ours, which is well maintained by the state and gives them two of our salaries and they do not manage to earn with foreigners, they will be special people who move like the wind, fall and rise like springs, etc.
To rise in 2/A, for agitation and propaganda.
Find any B.p. another, that they also favor him at work, for example, in loading wagons.

Report dated 11.10.1983
The source informs that, on 7.10.1983, he was on a medical visit in Rrëshen, there from 10.00, he was passing from the hospital, from the back side, where the visits are made and in front of the main gate of the hospital, he saw Petrit Hazbiu, he did not he was able to meet him, and around 10.30, he entered the building materials store, where he also saw Petrit Hazbiu. He turned to the saleswoman; Do you have light bulbs, at this time, Petrit said to him, oh, I’m not boss, oh, I’m sorry I haven’t seen you until now, the saleswoman at this moment, answered, we have light bulbs and brought a 40 w bulb, he told him; Do you have a higher voltage, the saleswoman answered; we have these, if you want to take them, otherwise, go, he said to the seller; show yourself more politely, because before we bought it, he took the lamp, Petrit told him, these sellers are quite rude, they don’t behave well, he told Petrit, that the sellers are polite, but sometimes, that’s what they do those.
He asked Petriti, why did you come to Rrëshen, Petriti told him that; I came today by bus because they told me we will drop the girl, I came to pick her up. What about you, why did you come, Petriti asked him? I am very sick from the dagger and I received a recommendation, I was visited by a surgeon here. I’m sorry that you are sick and gone, Petrit said to him. He asked Petriti, do you want to buy something in the store, Petriti said, I wanted to buy a stove pipe, because in Kurbnesh, the store is closed, there was none here either. They left the store together, he told Petrit that, I have work at the hospital, I’m going, and then maybe we’ll see each other again. Petrit said to him; we are from the flower shop or the post office, come after you finish work, because I get bored alone. Good he said, and they parted. After he took a tour, they met again at 10.35 at the flower garden in front of the barbers sitting on the chair, there was Petriti, with the little son of Elena (his sister), after giving the boy’s hand, he sat on the chair. Hey, you met the girl, how did it go, he asked Petriti.
No, I haven’t seen it yet, at this time, he ordered Elena’s son, to see if his daughter had come. He asked Petrit, who separated the husband, you or the wife? Petriti told him that; she did the parting; I had no reason to part it. Interestingly, he told her, she only loved you because you were Kadri’s son. No faith, said Petriti, she loved me very much, but in this case, she wanted to save herself from our troubles. And the girl, why did you leave her, he said? Petriti told him that; the court left the girl here; we did it here in Rrëshen. In my opinion, the court did not act well by leaving the daughter to her, they have nothing to do now, and they are left to meet rarely and for longing, with my daughter. I am also on leave of absence and I wanted to keep him at home one day and get rid of him. Peter, said he, did you become acquainted with the letter concerning your father’s case? Yes, Petrit said. You had a person in the house that we didn’t know. Petritis answered; in fact, we don’t know anything about the actions that the father did.
In fact, a person has his ideals in life and the work he does, but with the family, one should not talk, because your life depends on it, not only your father’s, he told Petriti. Petrit said to him: to tell the truth, I have special respect for you, you seem to me to be a frank and sincere person, and regarding this problem, let’s say it openly, that, as children, we didn’t know anything about our father, only then when the plenum called him an enemy, we were even surprised and asked the mother if she knew anything about the father, she said no, and she was very upset. Only you know very well that our father had a lot of company with Mehmet, they often stayed together and drank until the late hours. He told Petrit that; Mehmeti had mixed up his own children, with agent actions, perhaps, the Party kept you close, took you to Kurbnesh, gave you work, because it would have found a place for you too, were it otherwise. In fact, continued Petriti, Mehmet’s children were very mobile, they had fun. As children, we never mixed with them.
As I said before, my father asked me, continued Petriti, don’t you want to go abroad to any country, I expressed my desire and this matter was arranged, I have been in Yugoslavia, in Belgrade, to be honest, they seem to me cultured people, they they talked to each other, in a low voice, and it was very quiet. He told him: I don’t know Yugoslavs that well; I can say a few things, because I left a long time ago and I was small then. He told Petrit that; now it never crosses my mind that your father had respect for Kosovars, your father wanted to sell Albania to Yugoslavia. In fact, I can say about this, continued Petriti, that my father used to say that Kosovars are strong and loving men, what can I say about this now. My father, he was an enemy and may the bread he ate be haram. He said to Petrit; now don’t get upset because you have nothing to do, life is like that. It’s my job now, to work where I am, but I feel sorry for my little brother because he’s young and doesn’t think much, I feel sorry for my mother too, she’s sick and she doesn’t have much medicine, from the one she used to use. Petriti, asked him that; how was your transfer done, he told him that they promised me a job, there is not much chance, I am stable, with a family and a job. I wanted to stabilize near the main centers. Look at it, said Petriti, that; my father was not to blame for this.
I’m sorry; he said to Petrit, that I wrote a letter (request) to your father, to return to Yugoslavia and not for transfer. Petrit told him that; you asked what I had asked his father about, in the conversation we had a month ago. He said to Petriti, I have work and I’m leaving, as you like, Petriti said to him, here I am, when the bus comes, Ishalla will take us and in fact, it will take us last, if there is room. Laughing, he separated from Petrit. Around 13.00. he boarded the bus, followed by Petriti, to come to Kurbnesh. He adds that, when he met Petriti at the flower shop, he asked him; since you miss your daughter so much, why don’t you go to Tirana to meet her. Petriti told him that it’s a long way, although I like to go, but I believe you also know why I don’t go. He told him that; where do I know what you mean? Petriti said that I must get permission to go. He told him that he doesn’t know anything about it. Where does he get leave, he asked? To the department in Kurbnesh. No, he said, I didn’t know that.
“Explain”
Giver’s explanation:
- Petrit Hazbiut these days gave you permission to meet the girl in Rrëshen. In fact, he could not meet him, since he did not come to him from Tirana. It is in P.P. for agitation and propaganda.
B.p. “Shkëlzeni”, was sent on duty to Rrëshen, He had a recommendation from the doctor to visit him. He gave you a line of behavior that, in general, has worn him out.
Giver’s Rating:
Given the operative value, it is about Petrit Hazbiu, the son of the enemy of the Party Kadri Hazbiu, who comments about the culture of our sellers, ignores it and raises the culture of Yugoslav citizens, where he expressed, allegedly, for the calmness that was there, the culture, etc. They also leave doubts about his father’s activities, as it is said that he was in close company with Mehmet Shehu, where they talked and drank until the late hours.
Task, given B.p.
He gave you the task to use the occasions when Petriti goes to or returns from work, when he appears at Ward 44, in the late hours, carefully and without being noticed by others, etc., talk to him about work problems, if you are acclimatized, like you and your brother with a job in the mine, to the income they receive, if it is abundant. About his family and friendly ties, where are they and if they have suffered anything from the government, show surprise, how is this business, from one person also others suffer, did you find out that someone came here, or how many to be well, to be looked at, also, I am surprised by the fact of falling into the eyes of you, of society, of drinking until the late hours with Mehmet Shehu, you can stay, but surprisingly, you have not become well at all , for him, to tell him not to drink, to help him, because maybe the drink has caused him to become compromised.
Operational measures:
– There will be increased surveillance with extended hours in their home.
– For this, B.p., a line of conduct will be prepared.
– Physical control measures against them will be strengthened.
– The possibility of accompanying Petriti to Tirana will be considered, with a combination.
– The data should be printed in three copies, 1 for the Operative Group, 1 for Petrit and 1 for his brother, Agron.
Operative Workshop
Mihal Monka
NOTE:
Petriti cannot be taken to Tirana, both for the danger and for opinion. B.p. “Shkëlzeni”, to be given the task to arrange meetings with Petriti, especially to look at the possibility of going to Petriti’s house, gradually, B.p., to get closer in conversations with Agron Hazbiu and their sisters.
